Lilac sat peacefully in the grass reading the book in which she had popped from. It was like her security blanket. It gave her comfort when she was feeling down like she was.
See it had just seemed to be one of those days. She sometimes feel into little funks where she didn't even know what to fo with herself, but usually the reason was much better that the reason she had today. One of the new babies, Mei, had asked about boys and why Lilac didn't have a boyfriend like a lot of the other family members had. Lilac didn't quite know how to responde to little Meika and told her she just wasn't interested in them, that she liked her studies better.
Now outwardly it was true, but inwardly, somewhere subconciously, Lilac did care, and wondered why. Maybe it was because she so often was at home, in her room, reading and studying, and not being outside. That is why today she was to try something different.

Taki was walking in his top hat and suit. Most people think he is going somewhere fancy but he wasn't. He likes coming out to the fields and see the flowers. Taki was always picked on by Rosey since she is his sister. Today he just wanted to get and see the sites for today. He never really got out of the house cause his sisters would try to tag along. But today Rosey and Icy were busy, so he sneak out of the house. While he was walking he saw a girl mousie reading a book. He walked up to the mouse, and smiled "Hi I'm Taki." He pulled his top hat off like a gentleman and bowed since he was raised with manners.

Lilac poked her nose out of her book.
"Lilac." She said with a smile and looked back down into the pages of text. 'What an awkward little mouse' she thought, 'just coming up and introducing himself like that'. Of course Lilac didn't really mind, it was what she had come out today for, non-family company. She looked up from her book again.
"What brings you to the park?" She asked.

Taki put his top hat back on. Then he thought "Lilac that's a pretty name." Then he sat down on the grass and looked at the sky. "I'm here to get away from my sisters." Taki was happy that today was a beautiful day. He looked at the clouds and saw shapes in the clouds. Like cheese and root beer he loved root beer it was his favorite drink. He was happy to be away from his sisters they would have bugged him all day.

"Oh." Lilac responded. She flipped a few pages in her book. "Hmmm...." She flipped another page. "Weird." She set down the book in her paws and picked up another beside her and flipped to the very back index, found what she needed and flipped briskly to the designated page. "....Right." She set the book down and grabbed the first book she had. "Makes sense now." She then looked over at Taki. "I am just studying up on some stuff." She said with a nervous smile. No one liked a bookworm, way to turn him off.

Taki smiled "I love books they are fun to read." As he reads at home all the time. But his sisters would disturb him while he was reading. So he always reads when there alsleep or when they were out of the house. Ofcouse he hasn't had any new books to read lately that's why he came to the field. Because over the hill is a mouse bookstore he wanted to go look at.

Lilac nodded and looked up from her book to Taki. "Me too." She said softly and then once again put her nose into the pages.
Once again she pulled the book from her side and placed it in her lap and flipped quickly through the pages.
"I enjoy it when I learn things when I study." She smiled, still in her book.

Taki smiled "Yeah I love to learn new stuff." He looked at the bookstore "Do you want to go to the bookstore?" he asked. Taki wanted to take Lilac to the bookstore with him. Because he wanted to get some new books so he didn't have to go home. Cause his sisters would bother him like they always do. So he stand up and reached his hand out to help Lilac up.

With her nose still in her book a smile curled at Lilac's mouth. Would she ever love to go to the bookstore!
"Of course!" She said almost bursting with excitment. Then she mentally kicked herself, regained her composure and looked up to Taki and nodded her head. "I mean, Yes. I would like to go." Lilac this time spoke camly and clearly. No one likes a hyper, overly-excited about a bookstore mouse.

Taki grabed Lilac's hand and walks with her to the bookstore. He looked at Lilac and smiled he thought she was a cute mouse. Taki was thinking about which book to get? But he was just gonna wait and see what they have. They made there way to the door to the bookstore. He opened the door for her and let her go in first.

Lilac kept silent to herself as they walked to the store. As one hand was occupied by Taki's, the other held close hold of her books, one of which laid open as so she could continue reading. She was much to engrossed in her story to let a little walk interrupt the plot. Just to make it better, Taki was leading her. She need not worry of tripping or walking into anything. Taki would take care of her.
As she heard the "Dingle Ling" of the bookstore's bell she shut her book and looked over at Taki.
"Thank you." She said softly and entered the building. It was amazing! Maybe they would even have the newest volume of Mizuki :: China Doll. Or even they might have a book on painting that Lilac could get for Fleur. Oh, so many options!

Taki walked to the cook book section and saw one about desserts. He grabed it and looked though the book and saw some wonderful pictures of desserts. Then he walked towards the music section and saw one about harps and looked though it as well. He walk behind Lilac and he had his books in his hand and he was seeing want books she wanted.
