I always find it interesting to hear the stories behind people's handles.
Of course, mine isn't that interesting. I've used Ristol since 1998 or so. Thought it would be a good name for a D&D character but never ended up making one with that name.

my comes from a comic book mini-series called crimson dawn kuragari was the badguy and he was just plain ******** cool looking

I use the name "Renendell" for the longest time in everything from email to mmo characters.
"Renendell" was my gaia handle for the longest time, but one day I thought to myself, "I shall be UBERDELL! THE PAIN FAIRY!" And I laughed to myself because the name sounded completely ludicrous, and I've had it ever since.

The name "Artea" originally came from the Lufia series of RPGs that started in SNES. I've used that name in a lot of my web-related stuff from messengers to e-mail addys
