Yes they should. Either that or sontinue the series. At least I think so. If they made it the way I see it in my mind, it would be totally awesome! Discuss: Should they make a sequel or continue the series? What should happen in the continuation? If it ended up sucking, would you still go see it? Would you if they put Ling into it somehow?

I've made up this huge plot in my head about a sequel. Heidrich is alive in it, he was kidnapped for experimentation and his body wasn't really in that coffin. 3nodding Also, Winry and Paninya travel through the gate to warn the Elric's because Roy can't close it, and since it's opened, Ed and Al can now do alchemy in our world, but only to a certain extent. They meet up with various historical figures whilst looking for the bomb as well as searching for Nicolas Flamel, who actually exists with the philosopher's stone. They travel back and forth between worlds a few times and meet the Emperor of Xing, Ling Yao, where they discover the Xingian alchemists have soothsayers, and ways of using alchemy to predict the future. Ed and Al return to our world with Winry and a curious Ling (who brings along a small Xingian alchemist named Mei Chan) and discover that, because our world is so flexible, they can actually sent themselves through time. Along the way, they meet a young female reporter working for the Munich Press who is trying to reveal to the wold the truth and danger that Hitler poses, Noah's long-lost younger sister, a Spanish gypsy, and a man unwilling to give up the anicient ways of his Japanese ancestors. What starts out as an innocent hunt for the atomic bomb ends up being a frantic race through time to repair the atrocities of WW2. In the end, Ed learns once and for all that messing with the time-space continuum is indeed a very bad idea, especially when Flamel's cousin learns how to do it. In the end, Ed is able to block off the part of the gate that can send people through time and Amestres (his time - the early 1900s) is connected to our world in present day 2007. Another reoccuring theme is that, through all the depressing s**t that life brings, those who still live should carry on and love. Oh yeah, and exquivilent excahnge is bull.
That's what I think should happen.
And Roy is president and Ed ends up with Winry and Al ends up with Mei. A slightly traumatized (but still sesxy) Alfons ends up with Noah. Their relationship is treated with distain in their time, but once they travel to the future, they find out things are much better there. 3nodding

Maybe you should just stick to fanfics....... eek
Personally, I don't want a sequel. I felt the movie ended in a way that didn't need one. Then again I hate it when they do that for any movie I like. stare

emo But I think a sequel would totally rock...
I think my version made just as much sense as Shambala did. Shambala had no real... er... theme, I guess. I does if you dig, but the entire movie seams like someone threw a bunch of random stuff around and called it a plot. Like Pirates 3. I liked both those movies.
Probably 'cause of the bishie.

I want to stay in love with my sorrow..I don't know.. I'm scared it would suck. If they could pull off a good plot and everything, maybe. Ugh! I'm undecided. But the ending of Shamballa was sad.. -writes fanfic-..Oh but god I wanna let it go

Probably 'cause of the bishie. it was simply a contiuation of the series, but the plot is ever changing. i think the plot here was Ed trying to get back, and Al trying to find him Pirates changes within the moive itself, so it's a little different w/e both movies were awsome btw, i've never written fanfic type stuff before, and i'm getting kinda carried away with the shamballa idea in my head. like REALLY. is this a BAD thing?

Seeing as I did not like Conquerer of Shamballa at all to begin with, a sequel is not something I want to see. And it certainly isn't needed. The point of the story was for the brother's to get their bodies back and to be together. They got Al's body back and they're together. So what if they're seperated from the rest of the gang? They got the most appropriate ending the series called for?
If they do make more anime, I'd much rather see a movie that's a more faithful adaption to the manga rather than a continuation of the completed anime series.

only if Heiderich comes back from the dead and gets a strip scene. 4laugh
but if not, then no. Sometimes it's better to leave it hanging a bit.
But it might be cool if they work the holocaust into it somehow. *is a sucker for historical fiction*

I have to say I dont think making a sequel would be a very good idea. I hate to say it but despite the fact that the series was left open ended this movie didnt really need to be made. It was a great movie even though I was dissappointed that the sexy Colonel was no longer the sexy Colonel but a sort of moeish pitiful guy in a some of his ONLY shots on screen.
There is such thing as too much of a good thing. What if to drag on the story they do a bunch of unnecessary junk? What if they do a crappy cross over? Oh god what if Gonzo picked up this film and tried to make it his own? Some shows are better off ending when they do.
