whats funny is i had a dream where that happened..the zombies had gotten inside though and my friend and her boyfriend were molesting a asian woman in the kitchen supplies aisle..but yeah. i'm not too sure what my whole zombie plan would be. definitely would have plenty of guns and other weapons. and there's the option of either walking or getting a vehicle. both can be bad. for example, zombies nowadays run like ******** hell and will run you down like a goddamn rhino, having a car would be good but sometimes zombies always tend to be attached to it..or hiding inside. not to mention crazy survivors shooting you in the head and taking your car. thats not fun. but i agree with finding a store or some building with radios and wait to here on anything good. not too sure of anything else at the moment. so i'll get back to this when i've thought of something ^^;

Somewhere? Thats not good enough. That "somewhere" might just be the middle of a zombie infestation. As stated in the zombie survival guide, the best place to hold up would be a place completely isolated from any sign of mankind. As it also said, find a place with the harshest living conditions and stay there. Far away from cities, roads, villages, etc. No human besides the ones with you most know of your position.
You also didnt include food. Just gas and weapons? Sad.

I am sorry I should have been more specific. I live in Colorado Springs, If I were to head west much at all I'd be right in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. Where in there are many places to dig in. The specific place I had in mind is an area where I have land. It's right on the edge of the National Forest (no humans past that line) but on that edge are several homes, all spread out & each probably having guns & provisions for long periods of time due to the 2hour drive to the nearest store. If any of those people are infected, its a small matter & killing them would probably gain you more ammo then used in killing them, & those who are alive & uninfected (chances are the vast majority) could be rallied up & used to help forge a new community of which most would be both gun & nature/survival savy. Also this provides basic shelter, very secluded, & easily fortified. Once secured, the small community starts using nearby forest to build up walls & also entrenching the outer wall. Small groups would be sent into the mountains to hunt.

As for the food, some more detail. In my home, we have a stockpile of MRE boxes. Several hundred rounds of Ammuniton, for each of our guns, almost all more than capable of taking down a zombie in a hit. Those that are not (.22 cal) could be used once in the mountains for hunting. Some stored Gas jugs & such, are also in the home. All of these supplies (food, guns, gas) are ready to be packed up in a matter of hours by 1 or 2 while another can watch for Zombies.

There we go, please do tell me if I left anything out this time through. I've not read your survival guild yet, but I will as soon as I have a chance. This plan is basically the plan thought up just knowing the supplies available, & the locations within easy reach.

Well I read a book a few months back exactly on this topic. The title was The Zombie Survival Guide

Umm... Yeah, im sure everyone here knows of that book. It's pretty popular now, almost trendy mad . I base all of my plans and etc. off that and i think i mentioned it a couple of times in my other thread on here.
A couple of flaws in your plan here. First off, i think id start with the fact that you said "Drive an ATV half way and walk the rest". If you drove an ATV, you'd be advertising yourself to zombies everywhere. You also risk being shot by someone trying to get a ride and you have no protection. When you got off, zombies would be on you in no time. Second, a mall isn't a great idea. After Dawn of the Dead, im sure a lot of people will be thinking the same thing. You'd get there, group up with the survivors, one of them becomes a zombie from a previous bite, chaos. A place with weapons and ammo isn't so great either. Eventually you'd run out of whatever food you had if it prolongs and starve to death. Last off, the power grid might not always stay on. Laptops would probably just be an extra weight.

I suggest you need to reread that book. mad

but its mostly how do i get away and stop there advance
i dont really have a plan other then keeping good weapons near me and route to escape from of keep save and hidden were they wont see me
and other little necessities that will halp me

i guess its keep with good friends that will helpful and what not

a bottle for water (canteen)
my best and fav pocket knife(its bigger then my hand and folds)
my cell & charger if it still works
a list of my cards in my tc decks since i cant take them with me
my combo plier knife thing since it has a saw and screw driver, file
a watch
a small vile of lighter fluid
id dress in all black (i just bought boots hehe) and take all the buttons off my bag crying they'd attract attention
i guess if there still power id take my game boy (its a ds lite dont want to be terribly bored)
condoms (they can hold water)
a metal fork spoon knife and small metal plate
