I'm wondering, how many of you use your (edited: Gaia journals) journals? And what do you use them for? That's it, no in-depth discussion, I'm just wondering what people use them for. Myself, I use it to write a book-sized story section by section that I hope people will read (shameless advertising alert!)

You mean Gaia journals? I have various accounts so, one I just post Gaia related stuff that happened to me. But this one I'm pretty much just using to keep track of guild related things. :]

I used to use mine for mindless posting, but then I barely updated it and got rid of it basically because of that. I keep thinking one day I'll use it but I probably won't.

@scrya: Have you considered posting your writings on deviantART? They also have a good amount of people who write. Which is pretty cool - they're pretty inspiring and from what I've seen, also have writing exercises communities which you might be into.

Deviantart sounds like a good idea. I checked the site but they appear to be doing maintenance right now, and I couldn't find a sign up area. What do you know about the site? Like how personal/private is it?

Well, I don't believe you can't make your deviantART private, unfortunately. Nor any specific works you decide to post. It's a very public place. As for information on yourself, I don't remember them asking for very much besides email and such - much like Gaia. And you do not have to enter your real name either when they ask you for it I believe. Well, you can change it right after anyhow. xD

xD I can put anything and everything in there. I'll sometimes put your basic journal entry. I might also put quizzes and things like that, or maybe a plot bunny that wasn't big enough to actually make it onto fictionpress. I might also put some tektek things I make on there. I swear, I'm addicted to that site~
Anything that I find interesting or worthy of posting could end up floating around in my journal like bits of fluff. x3

I do use it. I used to have a blog, I just... hehe, never used it. Somehow Gaia seems different. People you don't know WANT to comment on your life. ^___________^ Isht great.
@scrya: I told you about Elfwood, right? It does require your real name, and an email, but that's about it. It also has a copyright law on your materials against anyone stealing it. ^___________^ I'm not sure how effective it is, but it's a pretty safe community because everyone is on the same level. You can block commenters you don't want, get helpful critique. Is much fun.

I usually just talk about every day things that are in my mind. Usually I refer at some point to the weather and then I just babble all kind of other stuff. Most of the stuff is Gaia related though. I know that not many reads my journal but I don't write for others, I mostly just write for me and for my amusement. xd

I don't have much of a use for them; I scarcely (sp?) ever have anything to say.

My journal:
-rants -ideas -general life stuff
..and that's exactly it. I did put fanfiction blurbs, but since I don't want my homophobic friend to stumble upon them, I made them private entries.

I'm kinda curious. I can see # of viewers, but don't know who. Has anyone read mine? I'm not trying to pressure anyone to do so, but I get so little feedback.
