Hi. : )
Personally, the CB isn't my favorite place to advertise jack... Yeah, but I can remember when there was a topic concerning the radio in the GD (That actually got pretty decent attention) and the asshats moved it to the CB where things semi-ly went down hill.
If my memory isn't completely 100% on that, feel free to smack me and correct me.
I noticed earlier that a lot of you have made those quick little shouts about the radio and people posted the ever classic bump of d00m which had no relation to the radio itself.
That's okay, more effort than I thought to make until now.
Like the rest of you I've spent my fair share of time in random threads/forums/subforums of Gaia and I also know that it takes more than a quoted post (no offense) to make something stick with gaia members.
I figure I have more than a few extra hours at hand. I'm not the best at DJ'ing things but like a lot of people who want to help out, they could do it in a forum topic.
With a decent amount of organization, some graphics, and some coloration to add something extra to the topic I think a group or everyone from the guild could make something people would stick around to see and listen to.
I think I'm going to go ahead and brainstorm about this but if anyone has any real objections, say something. =/
Just an idea for organized attention to the guild/radio.

GCD, and CB are the only places we're currently "Allowed" to post because it has to do with Gaia... and no one gives a ******** about the CB.
I got 8 new listiners from the CB... Aaand majority joined the guild..
Sooo.
Havn't tried the GCD.. because they're almost as stuck up as the GD.

I've managed to avoid the GCD for the last two years.
People always told me their 5x's worse than the GD could get, and they had their heads shoved up their a**s.
Sooooo. Yeah'. x.x; BAD suggestion. =|

the GCD were the anime fags who think they're so much cooler than everyone else, and refuse to talk to anyone who is not in their 'group" in high school
the kind of kids who use the word "prep" seriously, and with such an air of utter disgust, that they need to wrinkle their noses ever so slightly whenever mentioning it or anyone who applies to it.

I actually don't think it would be a bad idea at all.
I don't like the idea of keeping a thread for G-Radio in the GCD, but it could possibly work, and if it doesn't, there would be no harm in creating a thread for the CB.
I know there should be other methods of discussion for the radio besides an AIM chat, because some people don't use AIM at all, they can't figure out a way to join, or they would prefer forum-based discussions instead.
If anyone is willing to pull a thread together for the GCD or CB, I would be happy to help with the layout of the first post and add some color/design to attract some people.
Keep in mind that the CB attracts some mindless fgts, but not all of them are that way. If there are spammers or bumpers in the thread, you can easily delete their posts, unlike the GD or GCD.

no, I actually think a HOT in the CB would be a good idea.
there are a lot of people in there who arent stupid.
and a LOT of people who decided the gd was just too much and left and hang out there now.
it's not really that bad of a place.
the gcd though...........
there are no words.

It's not detrimental to the guild or the radio in any way, so I say you should definitely go for it.
