Name: Kadia Savorie
Age: 16
Class: Pickpocket
Occupation: Bard
Description: A tiny and slender young woman, Kadia's height is barely above five feet, her weight possibly less than one hundred pounds due to her height. Her face is not beautiful in the classic sense of it; with her overall appearance combined toward her face, she looks like a rather indignant child. Her lips are thin, her mouth a bit too large, and her nose seems to have been broken in the past and set slightly to the right. Her hair, which is naturally a palish blond, has been transformed with the aid of a tonic she boasts to have created herself. However, her research has not reached too far at the moment; it is now a violet-pink colour, an interesting contrast to her strangely cyan eyes. She has a few scars from her time on the road, the most interesting of which is a thick scratch from her left hip to her right collarbone, which she claims came from single-handily fighting off a group of sixteen bandits. (Then again, you really can't trust a word Kadia says.) She has three piercings on her left ear and two on her right, and she regularly changes earrings whenever she grows bored with the ones she has. Also, her navel is pierced, with a silver loop with a sapphire stone hanging off of it. Her attire consists mainly of blue, which she ardently calls her favourite colour, and her flute is ever-present, either in her hand or in a small case slung over her back.
Background: Kadia grew up on the road, in the care of an acting troupe known as the "Ten Tigers." Her caretaker, who she fondly called Old Uncle Tebbins, was an elderly Thespian with no children of his own that had seen fit to raise the girl, since neither of them had any living family. She never knew what happened to her family, growing up only knowing that they were dead. When she was ten years old, the Tigers allowed her on-stage for a part requiring a young girl, and she soon found a passion for theatre. When she was fourteen years old, Old Uncle Tebbins died at the age of fifty nine, and she continued travelling with the Tigers until they finally disbanded five months later. Not wanting to leave the open road, she took on the occupation of a bard, making use of her knowledge of the flute and light thievery that she learned from the troupe. She has been travelling about ever since, occasionally appearing in stage productions and quite often in taverns.
County of Origin: Fifaine?
Other: Kadia doesn't have much interest in the truth; she may be a compulsive liar, or simply gets bored easily. No one's truly sure. She's occasionally called a kleptomaniac, as she seems to constantly find herself in the possession of something she didn't have beforehand, but she merely puts it off as being curious about the world around her. Nonetheless, she is banned from several shops around Vorisseine.
Name: Linden Rheimedius
Age: 24
Class: Archer
Occupation: Adventurer/Mercenary
Description: Lin is a bit above six feet in height, mildly muscular in the arm and chest region but altogether thin. His hair is a dirty chestnut colour, falling lankly and haphazardly about his face, almost touching the shoulders. His eyes, a light, almost poisonous green colour, sit with amusement, situated around a nose a tad too large for his face. There is a thin, slightly noticeable scar on his left cheek from a past fight, as well as a couple on his palms and the backs of his hands. His fingers are calloused from years of archery, and he has a slight, overlookable limp on his left leg from another fight he was in years ago. He has no piercings or tattoos, regarding them as "silly things," and his attire varies, though he will often wear a black cape with his family insignia, the eastern arrow. On the middle finger of his left hand is a gold band which he never removes, and has never mentioned to anyone just what it signifies, or if it has any powers.
Background: Lin is one of the few children of the nobleman Caidien Rheimedius, and one of the few surviving members of the Rheimedius family. Very little is known about his early life, only that he is the sole male child of the family, and that he was born with a disease known as Dyaphemiere, a condition that makes breathing difficult and can sometimes lead to loss of consciousness. Due to disagreements with his father, Lin left home at the age of seventeen to explore the kingdom, and has not been back to Vaine county since. He soon fell into the life of an adventurer, a hunter of evil, and occasionally that of a mercenary. His personality also changed rapidly, from that of a spoiled brat who was afraid of so much as stepping on his father's shadow to an independent, somewhat erratic, annoying, spontaneous and outgoing individual, though an apparent desire to "cleanse the world of remorseless monsters" also leads to a somewhat darker portion of him. He has made certain to stay away from the western coast since leaving, and has not been back to his home in seven years, for reasons he has not divulged.
County of Origin: Vaine
Other: Lin has a few quirks to his name; he refuses to eat anything red, and is strictly vegetarian. He seems to also have a fear of the dark, as well as his condition, known in this world as Dyaphemiere, that makes him run out of breath quickly, have bouts of unconsciousness due to lack of air, and other breathing-related problems. He is rather proficient in archery, though some have seen that he is a near expert of knives and blades. Due to his condition, however, he sticks to bows.
Name: Adrien Graicen
Age: 30
Class: Blood Mage
Occupation: Battlemage/Advisor to the King
Description: Adrien is of around average height, at 5'9" or so. His hair is kept at around medium length, and is prematurely a silvery white colour. His eyes are dull, nondescript brown, with the right one somewhat larger than the other. His body is a bit frail, rather from spending years studying non-stop than from any sort of sickness, and he has a bit of a slouch that he attempts to cover up whenever he realises it. His attire is mostly red, the colour commonly worn by those employed by the royal palace, with the insignia of his family - the twelve-pointed star - embroidered on a dark red, almost burgundy cape, as is common among nobility. He has few actual scars, and a single tattoo on his shoulder identifying him as an official mage of Lock County.
Background: Adrien was raised by his mother in the capitol of Lock County, the son of a knight who was slain before his birth. His mother, the knight's widow, received a monthly salary for her husband's death, but said compensation ran out around the time that Adrien turned eight. Finding that she no longer had any way to support herself and her child, Adrien's mother had him enrolled as a knight as she left to seek her own fortune out of county. Adrien soon proved that he wasn't fit to be a knight; he didn't have the desire to fight with swords or the physical requirements to do so. The capitol's resident mage, however, noticed that the child had magical potential, and asked the count to allow him to be enrolled in mage training. The count and Adrien agreed, and the boy began his training as an Elementalist. Around this time, Adrien met the boy who was soon to become his lifelong best friend; Auderis Corine.
The two grew up together in the capitol, Adrien training to be a mage and Auderis training to be a knight. Once the both of them became adults and passed their training, his friend divulged a secret to Adrien; Auderis was, in fact, the b*****d child of the king of Vorisseine's brother, the same king that had proven to be incapable of having children of his own. The two soon hatched a plan; they would remove the king from his throne and place Auderis upon it, with Adrien as his right-hand man. They were set to launch their scheme, but needed just a bit more power behind them. They both knew what had to happen; Adrien had to become a Blood Mage, which meant that his ability to see, hear or speak would be abolished. Deep down, he knew that he didn't truly want to become a Death Mage, but it was Auderis that needed him to become one, the Auderis he was devoted to, and perhaps, secretly, loved. As such, he opted to become a magi of death and murder, and lost his ability to speak.
With this done, the two, along with numerous followers, staged a massive uprising that imprisoned the old king for crimes he had not actually committed. Auderis became the new king, and beside him, Adrien, just as the two had planned. Ever since, Auderis has been ruling the country, with Adrien aiding the effort, devoting his very life to his best friend, the king of Vorisseine...
County of Origin: Lock
Other: Due to having no voice, Adrien uses scrolls to cast spells, and writes to convey messages. His devotion to the king is obvious, possibly beyond being platonic, and will do anything Corine asks, to the extent of throwing away his own life for the man.
