Lying on the north eastern coast , bordering the Wastelands to the north and north west and the Northern forest to the south, lie the land of the Sun Elves and the Moon Elves. The captial of the land if the Kingdom of Durain. A powerful nation that almost rivals Talonron. The nation of Durani is the second largest nation in the Western Front. The kingdom is socially seperated by the rich and poor classes. The troubling thing is though that the Sun elves make up the upper class and the Moon elves make up the lower, This had lead to racial tension between the two races. The only thing keeping the land form open civil war if the Ambassador. Xiandria E'lothorae Me'herech. Born of the leaders of both races. She serves at the only link between the two.

"Hold the line! Hold the line damnit!" Soran stops yelling as he realizes that there was no use. The Elven soilders were too badly outnumbered. A sea of black armored demons had decended form the North in numbers he hadn't seen in years. The Talonronains has promised aid but they hadn't arrived yet. This along with the Lady Xi's return and the forgeiners stuck in the city had everyone on edge.

Limaren uttered some kind of oath under her breath as she hastily put away the bottles of chemicals she had been working with. Intending to leave the besieged city, she had paused in her dingy old rented room long enough to replenish her supply of pre-mixed capsules and potions as she always did before traveling. Feeling more urgency than ever, she muttered angrily again and looked out the grimy window and over the rest of the city, to where she could just see a small piece of the sky. The once-blue patch was smudged all over with the smoke of battle. She probably couldn't get out that direction, but then again, it might be like that all the way around. Every rumor she'd heard indicated quite a big battle. Argh... she hadn't even intended to stay long here, and almost as soon as she'd arrived, this mess had started. She had hoped to avoid the war... So much for that, she thought. Idiot, what did you think? Of course they'd attack a city! How long had the siege been going on, anyway? Oh well, it didn't matter, she only cared that she was fed up with it and determined to find some way out. Closing her wooden traveling case, she slung its canvas strap over her shoulder and trotted down the stairs, her straw hat tugging lightly on its loosened chinstrap at her neck as it bounced against her back. Tossing her last payment for the room onto the front desk, she headed out the door and into the street.

Lonin scowled from the shadows of a back alley in the poorer area of Durani. She was trapped and would probably have to do some fighting before her time in the city was over. With every gunshot she winced and pushed her hands harder against her pointed ears, the sounds drilling into her skull and worsening her headache. She pulled a thing woollen blanket closer to herself, one of the few possessions she had left, one that she'd actually stolen while in the city. Lonin preferred to spend most of her time in forests or any general place with a low population of humanoids. They tended to mess things up. With all the wars going on, all the noise and death, the animal spirits within her longed for a quieter and safer place. Part of her was tempted to transform into her panther form and just run as far away as she possibly could. But a 'wild' animal running around in the city walls would probably cause panic and get her shot, so she resisted the urge. Instead she picked apart the blanket that was meant to be keeping her warm but wasn't doing a good job. After a while the moon elf stood up and shook, much like a dog, deciding that she wanted to find a way to escape the horrible noises of the city and so darted down some alleys in the general direction of away.

Asking around some more, Limaren soon found that all the gates were not only closed but guarded as well. How was she supposed to get out? There had to be a way. She headed for the gate that seemed farthest from the worst part of the battle, on the back side of the city near the lower-class area where her rented room had been. Maybe she could talk the guards into letting her out...

"Damn you humans! Where the hell are you?!" Soran yells to the heavens as the firepot roars over the city walls smashing into though a building inside the city. He ducks under a sword swung at his head and drives his katana deep into the demon's body. He yanks the steel weapon out of the corpse and lets it fall to the ground. It was bad. The Durani was naturally fortifed and hard to attack. Built on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Ocean and with the Northern Forest to the South and East it was only veranable form the north. But the very same natural defenses made it almost impossiable to evacuate the city. Another explosion echos thoughout the city as the demon catapults launch more explosives into the city. He looks up and for some reason his eyes stray to the left. Standing on a hilltop were a legion of white and darkblue armored humans. He didn't need to see the Banner flying the White Tiger to know that the Talonronians had finally arrived.

Xiandria looked out the window to see her home in battle. She was anxious to run free and fight, but was kept hidden. Her gaurds were on special alert. She continued to pace and waited for the perfect timing. She looked out the window again and saw Viva. "Viva!" Her heart lept and she pushed herself forward onto the window. She was aching from the unfortunate mishap, befallen on her precious home. She caught the gaurds talking to each other and made her escape to the battlefield quickly. 'Now!'

At the South gate, Limaren tried all her best tricks to talk her way around the guards. "...and I swear I can handle myself in the forest, even if there are enemy scouts in the area." she finished. "Sorry, girl, we can't take that kind of chance." The guard replied. "For the safety of the city and everyone in it, we can't open these gates even for a second. Not only is it unsafe for you, it's unsafe for everyone else." "But they're not gonna attack from this-" "We have very strict orders." "What if-" "Under no circumstances." The elven guard's stern expression disallowed any further comment. If she thought she could easily open the gate by herself, she'd have used a smokescreen and simply gone through... but she hadn't actually watched them open or close the gates, and she didn't see an obvious mechanism for doing so. Argh... Limaren turned and walked back the direction she had come, looking down at the pavement and muttering as she went.

The Talonronians attack. A sea of White and navy blue armored human charge down the hill rushing to aid the beleaguered city. The humans slam into the mass of demons slowly cutting their way though. The demon catapults stop firing and turn aiming for the Talonronians. He unit commander raise his arm in preperation to fire. He looks in supirse to find himself inside the mouth of a gaint armored tiger. The Talonron Calvary charges though the catapults ripping apart the demons. Soran looks back at his own forces. He raise his katana and lets out a war cry. Soon the remaining Elves charge slamming into the oppitse side of the Demon army in a pincer move. The demons were blocked in. the Elves on the right , human on the left and to the north the Talonron Calvary. Screams and the clang of metal upon metal echos thoughout the air along with the thick scent of blood. A flash of white illumates the south and Viva appears blocking off their only escape route.

Xi hears the cry and ran at her full speed. She reached the battle within a minute and saw the massacre. She raised her sythe and decapitated a demon from where she was."I will not let this place fall to you tretcherous things!!!!!" She ran forward and sliced more of the invaders. She grew angry, but remained on the outskirts for safety. 'I want to slice and kill them all, but I can't take the chance of dying. I'm the only thing that keeps this place at peace among each other.'

Lonin approached the city gates and glanced at two guards blocking her way into the forest. She sighed, there was the option of turning into her bear form and trying to break the door down, depending on how used to bears the guards were they might either kill her or run away. Is it worth dying just to escape this noise? She asked herself then shook her head and clamped her hands to her ears as the noises of battle increased. Another idea formed in her mind, instead of risking death she could kill the guards first...then she could try and find a way of getting the door open. After a few seconds hesitation she ducked into the shadows and sat down. She couldn't kill two innocent people who were just doing their job. That would be cruel.

Viva unslings his halberd and charges in form the south. A demon soilder turns toward him his axe ready to dig in the half-human's fleash. Viva roars and thrusts his halberd though the demon. He lifts up the poor victim then hurls the corpse across the battlefield. Viva jabs backward with the butt of his weapon crushing in another demon's chest. Viva rolls around to the left swinging his halberd. Three more demons fall with their chests sliced open. Four more demons break their attack and charge at him. Viva raises his hand and light starts to build up on his palm. A blast of light streaks form his hand and the demons fall, smoke rising form the charred fleash. The Edenian disengages form the battle for a moment. Viva looks around and takes in the current situation. The demon army was every shrinking as the Talonronians slice their way though making their way towards the Elven line. Viva spots a large concentration of demons. He raisies his left palm again. "Infuri!" The demons scream as the very air around them ignites engulfing them in a raging firestorm of bluish white flames.

Viva turns and fires another blast of light. Twelve more demons drop. Their black armor glowing a molten red. Viva charges into the battle. He ducks under a sword swung at his head. As he comes up he drives the side of the halberds blade into the demon chest. He lets go of the weapon and jumps back as a spear lands where he just was standing a second ago. He reaches over to his right bicep and unsheates his dagger. He looks to his left and spots a small group of Elves surrounded by demon. Viva knees one in the back crushing its armor and forcing it to arch its back in reflex. Viva brings the dagger up and slides it across its now exposed neck . He rolls away form the body and drives the blade into another's chest he rips the blade out, and backs away. The rest of the group of demons break off their attack and turn to face this new threat.

Having heard footsteps in an alley near the side street she was retreating on, Limaren had stopped to look around. An elf wrapped in a shabby old blanket appeared, looked at the gate indecisively, sighed, and then ducked away. Someone else wanting to get out? Hmmm... Limaren carefully approached the girl. "Are you looking for a way out, too?"

Lonin jumped and turned around as someone spoke. She looked at the person for a while, her brain taking time to process the speech allowing her to make sense of it. After a while she nodded. "Yes." She didn't think anymore of the question, words spoken by others usually held little meaning to her and if there was another message in the sentence she missed it.
