Racism

Over the years Racism has become a real big problem and im not on about just the one race of people i am on about them all.

We can't say black at anything any more, even pointing at a picture and saying black has become an insult. Baa baa black sheep has also been changed to say baa baa white sheep.

Some black people dont mind being called that and will just laugh, most even joke and say the N word to each other but it seems when I white person says it they are being insultive.
England is getting a real pain in the a** and is being crowded with coloured people which I think isnt right, they push us around and beat us up and we cant jail them because :O They are black and it seems if a police man does that then they are picking on the person.

I have nothing agaisnt the race and found some to be uber cool, my old best friend was coloured and she was like me so we got on great. The ones I dont like are the people that come into our country steal our homes and jobs and are getting benefits to help them. If I ran the country they would have to come here with good reason and make things on their own, just like we had too. The way i see it is if they hate being called black then we should take a stand and say we don't want to be called *Your race here*

What I want to know is what are you views on Racism, on all races or just one. What peeves you off about how it is all delt with.

In a few ways I agree with that first post.
"Racism" has been taken too far in my opinion. Yes, prosecuting different coloured skin people just on that is terrible, but this does not mean that they should get special treatment. That to me seems like racism.
It's like if someone walks onto a bus and you say hey have funny hair. If they are coloured it is racism, but if they are white it is nothing.
They say everyone should be treated equally, but how can everyone be treated equally when coloured people get benefits?
No, I am not racist, I find coloured people really interesting. They usually are better at stuff than white people are as well. xD
I don't know maybe I'm just stupid, but that is my two cents.

I also agree with your post StrawBerry.
Racism isn't just about white VS black. It has been experienced by other races as well such as the japanese, koreans and chinese. The "chinky" eyed people. Here in the Philippines, pinoys sometimes call us chinese "intsik". That's a bit of aninsult for us as it is not pleasant to hear. Peopl shouldn't be judged by the way they look or their skin color but by the way they act and treat others.

I dont like some of the japanese laws, its horrid. Yet I find their race and others like them to be wounderful smile

I have curly hair as i have negro some where in the family, my brother looks like he is from a hot country has is skin is dark yet my mom is white and so was his dad.....LAWL oh god i remember when i went to florida the guy on the bus asked my mom if she was mexican xD

I hate it when people say "chinky eyes" it's stupid how people insult the body's most beautiful part -I thinks any way- I love how Asians -sorry for grouping- eyes look, I've actually looked at plastic surgery to get my face done like an asians smile

Btw i started this thread because I had a dream last night where a black guy was going to marry me but he was still with his other wife, i ran away because I loved him and he hurt me XD madness!

I have alot of friends who r black or look "different" from what people do here in Sweden,
and they always joke about their looks themselves so it's okay.
I always talk very openly about stuff, I call people fat, bitches, N word, everything.
But it's just how it is here where I live, people don't take it serious.
I make fun of people all the time, but I'd never intentionally bully someone for something, so I don't see myself as a racist.
It just depends on how you grew up and the type of language you're used to. It doesn't make you a racist imo!

If you have ever been to the US, you probably learned a little history about it. Back in the 1800s we put African Americans through a lot. We were lazy assholes that did nothing for ourselves and we forced Africans to do work.
The when the 1950-70s came around we just sort of ignored the colored. Then of course you probably all know about Martain Luther King JR. He helped end pretty much all this but I still do see it go on. It has gotten bad over the years, I had a friend that was African American and she thought I wouldn't be her friend anymore because she was colored. It was mainly because of her attitude and how she lived.
Some of those words around here people do take seriously and we can even get in trouble for it sometimes...
We owe these people a lot because of the past 150 years.

I've been thinking about racism alot lately, and I brought up the subject in class once. I pretty much already knew this, but throughout the talk, you could tell that everyone, even the black kids, were afraid to say "******", but everyone said Cracker like it was just a normal word.

If ****** is so offensive, then why does everyone use it so much?

And how come they can call eachother niggers, but if I call a white person a cracker all the black people look at me like I'm on crack?

It makes absolutely no sense, and maybe there's really isn't any equalism here. At all.

Edit: I don't think equalism is even a word.

Edit: Oh my! Look at that, now even Gaia has the N word censored, but Cracker isn't. There's really something wrong with that.

I truly despise how bad it's become with racism. Everything thing is: "Oh, that's racist!" It's ridiculous, but it'll never stop.
