Hey i'll be first! mrgreen
I love the "His Dark Materials" trilogy so far.
if you or anybody'd like to know a little about it, it's about this girl named Lyra, with her daemon Pantalaimon (or Pan for short)
By the way, a daemon is a magical creature that's bonded to you by magic, it can't go more than a couple yards from its owner, lest it suffer massive pain and sadness. The owner feels it too. (it's like everything that the owner feels, the daemon feels and everything that the daemon feels, the owner feels.)
Wanna know the coolest part?
Daemons are magical creatures, with the ability to transform into any animal it wishes until it reaches an elderly age (well actually when the owner reaches an elder age) they then have to remain as one specific animal only.
But what i'm trying to find out is why they have to shapeshift and what their true form is....... blaugh
n' eways, it's a really good trilogy...
unfortunately i'm only up to book one: The Golden Compass
Second one's "The Subtle Knife" and the third one is "The Amber Spyglass" dramallama

Hello my name is Danielle! lol
My favorite book is the series Twilight, Awesome book about vampires and a human girl, the vampire guy falls in love with her and it tends to create some problems, the second book to that is the new moon and after is the eclipse!
Oh yeah just to add to my favorites My favorite movie would have to be either Lord of the Rings trilogy ( It's just awesome) or the Harry Potter series along with its books!

Oh, by the way, I am not saying that I don't like any movies, because I do. It's just that I don't have any "favorites."
But honestly, I HATED the Eragon movie...
I was so mad that they never showed Solembum. crying cry sad cry crying

About my username:
Otulissa is my username (obviously!), but Otulissa is also the name of my favorite character in the Guardians of Ga'hoole series by Kathryn Lasky!!
Otulissa was a bit of an intellectual snob in books 2-3, but she changed for the better.
Though she still can be kind of arrogant... Nonetheless, I think she's the best! She is a spotted owl, the scientific name:
strix occidentalis
Yep...I am obsessed with her! LOL...

Cool! I was wondering how you decided on that name, thanks for clearing that up!
BTW, dragonfan, i was reading that series too, you know the third book might be called Eclipse, but who knows, but i agree with you, it is an amazing book

hi im melanie(or mel) i LLOVE all fantacy books(except so you want to be a wizard i still havent finished that book cause i get soooo bored stare ) one of my favorite authors is tamora pierce. i like the gardians of ga'hoole as well blaugh . i love the harry potter books (but not the movies they've gone down hill cry ) and the warriors series(its about wild cats check it out some time).
