The four deities

Cecilia
The first of the four gods she created all life and is the kindest of the four. She takes on the form of a beautiful young woman clothed in a dress of white silk with three pairs of white feathered wings adorning her back and white hair that reaches the floor. Those that serve her are usually kind themselves with an affinity of healing magic that restores life and banishes the dead. The land which she receives the most worship is filled with many people mostly happy as no kind of love is restricted.

Necrom
The second of the four gods he was the first of them to take life away and is dubbed (by humans) to be the most evil and sinister of the four. Despite how he is depicted in many of the holy scriptures, he prefers to take on the form of a young man, wrapped in dark coloured robes wielding a sinister looking scythe and having two pairs of jet black feathered wings. As he is now known as the bound god those that worship him are careful and do not have there own kingdom to avoid death. His worshippers have an affinity for the art of necromancy and chaos magic. In truth he is simply the god of change, death, decay and darkness, but his actions lead him to be perceived as evil.

Luna
The final goddess she was the third god and chose to gift the world with knowledge allowing humanity to learn. She is usually depicted as a young woman in flowing robes of a sorceress holding a large book full of spells; she posses long jet black hair, and black rimmed glasses an one pair of silver wings. Those that worship her prefer knowledge and study many of them study the arts of magic that is neither of Cecilia or Necrom. Though they may favour the goddess Luna they still respect Cecilia the one that created them all.

Aretemus
The final god to give humanity his gift of weapons and the will to fight. He is usually depicted wearing full armour, wearing a red cloak, having orange-red wings and holding a large and powerful hammer. Those that worship him prefer skill in hand to hand combat along with weapon combat over anything else. Even with this none of them are truly stupid they just choose the path of combat. Like his older sister his worshipers may favour him but still respects Cecilia as the creator.

The Angels (servants to the Gods)

The angels are so named due to their often beautiful humanoid appearance. They all bare two feathered wings. Angels are neither male or female, but can embody the physical characteristics of the gender of their choosing. This humanoid form is not their true nature however, their real forms a never revealed except in extreme circumstances. Few have ever seen an angel as they truly are, but they are said to almost look crystalline in appearance. Due to their ability to become functional humans, they can breed with humans, but this is forbidden.

When angels procreate it is done ritualistically with little physical contact, but by exchange of parts of souls. This ritual is only performed if the bond between angels is true.

There is a sub-type of angels known as the Fallen. They have disgraced themselves in some manner, usually by disobeying a god or goddess. As a result their physical appearance changes, giving them coal-black wings. Also, their ability to revert to true-form is removed. They are hunted constantly by other angels as abominations.

Regions

Valenhelm
Valenhelm a land of frozen tundra, large mountains and few forests. This land is home to the Wolf kingom newly ressurected and their ancient foe the cave dwelling Spider people.

Sanctuary
A neutral land containing the Temple of Ages run by the Angels (guardians of the Gods) , where all worshippers may gain the right to enter the region. The texts of Necrom are kept in the vaults, his less fanatical followers are allowed limited access.

Angelus
A grassy expanse of countryside with almost no forestry (wood is imported). Home to the paladines and Petra a city built around a mighty Cathedral. Aquaria is the coastal capital: home to the Queen of Angelus.

Kharsov
Another neutral region, ruled by the Samlyn clan of daemons, but populated by many other lesser clans.

Sinak Island
An island east of Angelous that lies on the Sargasso ocean. The second home of the Necromancers it's leadership has changed several times. It is currently ruled by Kanis Ordan who's Obelisk is the pride and joy of his followers.

Namek
A large country on another continent that lies far to the west, across the Ozroth Sea. It's lords and ladies are vampires that split away from Necroms direct influence.

Counties, territories and major features

1) Valenhelm

Lupya

A territory under control of the Wolf tribes, allied to the humans. Contains the capital city Silverbane and the citadel of Grintun. There is also the small mostly human settlement of Vinrock, situated close to the Silvesti mountain range. A few slimley populated villages lie within the vicinity of Silverbane.

Rakya

Hostile territory home to the Rakyans, the race of spider people. There is a capital city within the Spineback mountains known as Arcun. Further information is limited. These creatures are allied to none, but have an on-going feud with the Wolves, this means they are potential human enemies.

2) Sanctuary

Necrus (fallen)

The ruins of an old Necromancer city within Sanctuary, whose populas was removed during a war against their dangerous rise in power. This area has been sealed of from the Holy Lands of Sanctuary.

Temple of Ages

A temple where pilgrims can pay hommage to all four dieties. The temple also acts as an angelic fortress. The followers of Necrom are kept under close inspection by the angels serving under the other three gods.

3) Angelus

Petra

A Paladine stronghold, situated next to the major temple of Cecilia.

Aquarius

Angelus's capital city home to the royal family. A large fortress city.

Major temple to the Goddess of light and creation. Watched over by the Paladines.

4) Sinak Island

Kanis's Obelisk *

The great Obelisk constructed with magic and manual labour. It's notably regarded as the dark side of the "Temple of Ages".

Factions

1) Necrom Cult Vampires*

Those that serve Necrom directly they work to break each and every seal. Through the generations there leader has changed many times, each claiming to have been chosen by Necrom himself. However only Kanis the most recent leader can rightfully make such a claim.

2) Vampires of Namek

The Vampire lords of the western continent of Namek. They no longer serve Necrom having broken away from him centuries before. They possess many secrets.**

Creation stories

The creation of Gaia (Not finished needs to be checked.)

Millennia ago there was nothing but black and darkness until a great explosion rocked the space. From that space a vast and huge star was born the sun known to all as Helios. Helios however was only one part of the being known as the universe, scattered across it were millions upon millions of rock and pockets of complete darkness, these were known as (need a name for black holes other then that).

For a thousand years the universe existed as another more then blackness, debris and “black holes”. Then after that time from the sun a rose a figure the figure was the goddess Cecilia. Clad with nothing but her long white hair and six wings each a marvel, within moments of her birth she took off into the blackness flying through the space that was. For a hundred years she flew through what existed and eventually came to a spot not to far form the sun but not to close.

With a voice so pure and beautiful one that would only be gifted to the beings such as sirens, demons and on the rarest occasion humans. She sang a ballad which with each word sung a chunk of the debris flew into each other. Hours passed and the goddess sang more and when she stopped and surveyed her efforts floated a blue planet. The planet in existence she flew down onto it and continued her work when her feet first touched the water there land appeared. For another fifty years she walked where she wanted earth would sprout up until thirty percent of the world was land.

Each part was covered in trees, grass and flowers from there she used her feathers to create the angels to be her children. Over a century the world was built up and she lived with her children teaching them about life and showing them what was wrong and what was not. Now clothed in her dress of white she took flight up into blackness and flew to the nearest spot of total darkness.

From that a hand emerged a being similar to her but different with a smile at the being she introduced herself, “My name is Cecilia”. Those were her first words to the being who stood tall taller then her, it clad in nothing nodded “My name is Necrom and I am your little brother” he spoke his four wings spreading out as he did. They returned to the planet which had been named Gaia, Necrom clutching a sphere of darkness in his hand. On the planet Necrom observed the angels each unchanging neither men nor women and he spoke, “This world is unchanging change must happen for new things to exist” that said he rose the sphere above his head and gripped it tight.

From it appeared the great symbol of Necrom the scythe known only as Umwandlung. With a swing of Necroms great arm the world was changed the ever lasting summer became autumn and then winter. The older angels aged showing the difference of being much older, and some angels became the first demons. A century passed and Cecilia and Necrom left that plain, to live above in a palace built for them from where they could observe all. A century passed and the angels built a sanctuary known as “The Temple of Ages” on the highest mountain so they could be closer to there gods, the demons stayed below some digging deep into the ground.

After the world had grown used Cecilia descended and created a thousand beings known as humans five hundred were in her shape the other in her brothers. A thousand more angels, a thousand more demons and thousands of more of the other creatures were then created around the world. Necrom followed and turned his scythe on the new people and swung, all of the created then changed allowing the ability for new life to form*.

The humans built settlements and lived both gods were displeased as all the races proved unable to fend for themselves and at that point a small star fell striking there palace. From it emerged a woman with black hair and two wings and a pair of eye glasses upon her face. She left the palace carrying the huge tome she’d come with clad in nothing else but her glasses and black hair. There she spent a century teaching her older sisters children they ways of knowledge and the ways of magic eventually they learnt and she ascended once more.

This knowledge gave all the races another edge even if some races were better at magic then others. However soon the oldest gods were displeased once again, and as was the youngest who had been dubbed Luna. Magic had proven to be a useful gift but lead rise to weakness and dark thoughts in the creatures below. Then that thought a star fell passing the palace and striking the earth, from the crater emerged the last god the god of war and work Aretemus.

As his siblings before him Aretemus got straight to work using the earth he made a hammer and forged his armour. That done he approached the other beings and passed on the knowledge, of how to make armour, weapons, and many more things. His task done he ascended and the four gods watched there work done from that moment on they simply watched guiding the people when appropriate.

However that time only lasted awhile until Necrom noticed something, with each death his powers grew bit by bit. Soon he descended upon the earth and sort out a reason disguised as a blind old beggar. He spent a year in the world eventually discovering the source, a small cult of pale skinned people attempting to bring the dead back.

Intrigued Necrom watched still in his disguise until they seemingly gave up and his power began to return to its former point. Not desiring that he revealed himself and soon the people succeeded creating something as simple as a zombie. The experiments causing more and more power increase, Necrom approached a person who sought immortality. The woman who was called Gwendolin used her wealth, beauty and connections to lure various people to Necrom to be guinea pigs. A decade later and he finally tested the theory on Gwendolin and she became the first vampire after she drank a goblet of his blood that had been diluted with human blood.
