I tried to keep the drawing honest. I would prefer to have drawn a more idealized version of me, with a more feminine face and figure, but instead I left it as it was: a bit masculine, underneath. The skirt was from my gothic lolita costume, which I have shown here before, and resembles a sort of Cyndi Lauper style like was popular back in the '80s at proms and school dances. The top was comprised simply of a black longline strapless bra and a corset, both worn under a fishnet shirt, in which I cut thumbholes so they would act also as fingerless gloves at the ends of the sleeves. I also wore fishnet stockings (and, though no one saw them, a garter belt and black satin panties, just to feel dressy all over).
The shoes were cute little wedges I picked up Friday afternoon at Payless. They were only $16.99! Quite a bargain, I thought. I found this photo of them online.
I styled my short hair in a slightly poofy 'do, with my bangs in a 1980s style. I painted my fingernails and toenails with red metallic polish.
I had a wonderful night, and spent most of it talking to a new girl in the game, Tammy. I was talking like a girly valley girl with her for, like, hours, ya know? Totally. And she really seemed to like me. She's dating another guy, but I got the feeling she thought I was cute. She smiled at me often, and seemed to want to engage me in more talk whenever I was near.
I won the Best Costume award for the night. smile So, a great night, indeed. The only bad things about that evening were that it didn't last long enough, and I got lots of mosquito bites on my ankles, legs, shoulders, back, and arms--basically everywhere that I was wearing fishnet. Too bad it wasn't mosquito netting.
After the game, I headed to my friend Charlie's place, and we watched Cursed, a movie that continued to make me believe Christina Ricci can't act. It was an OK movie, but pretty trite. Still entertining enough to not bore or annoy me though. I changed into jeans and a shirt, but kept my makeup, fishnets, and wedges on, only removing them when I got home that night.
Last night, I went to his place again to watch The Jacket with him and our friend Brandi. I wore a midlength black skirt with a tiny floral print on it, grey tights, black maryjanes, a grey Lilo & Stitch t-shirt, a black vest, and pink lipstick. I was feeling cute, and hadda express it. smile So the three of us sat in a pile on the couch, scratching each other's backs and such. In the end, I had my grey, silky legs across
So that was my weekend. All in all, I was in skirts and dresses more this weekend than I was in pants. So it was a good weekend, indeed. ^_^
