Between the dwarven cities of Tronjheim and Galfni were many mountains. The southern pass was infested with Urgals, and other various mountain beasts. Travelers of the Varden had constructed a bridge halfway between these cities to provide a way point for the Varden to rest. Dwarves were stationed at this way point, in a place called Fort Thundra, which lay at the north of the bridge. Fort Thundra had three large spiral towers that overlooked the bridge, the northern pass, and the great canyon that the bridge hung over. Massive halls and rooms ran under the Fort, within the ground.

Drakefang Bridge was four miles wrong, suspended on steel beams. In width, it was of half a mile. Every half a mile was a small dwarven post where dwarven militia would watch the canyon. Urgals had a tendency of attacking the bridge, but the dwarven defenses were often too great.

The great bridge was the setting for many great battles, and would surely be again, one day.
