I've seen a lot of 13 year olds get ripped on in the guild, saying how they shouldn't be Airsofting.

However, I'm thirteen. I've been airsofting for over a year now, and gone from clear spring pistols to an HFC M712, Homeland Defender, and a Marui m4a1.

I play safe. We make sure everyone wears eye protection, and all our games are planned out, supervised, and stratagized. They're not just 'Airsoft Wars' in the backyard.

I don't think 13 year old's shouldn't be Airsofting, I just thing they should take extra precautions.

Your thoughts?

I started playing with the better stuff at 14, so I'm completely on your side. Somehow maturity got tied to age. And maturity is what matters, so if you're mature and smart about how you play and handle your weaponry, more power to you.

You should definitely be playing at 13.

Also. 'To airsoft' is not a verb. 'Airsofting' is not a word. My friends always say it and it drives me insane.

Personally, as long as you show the kind of restraint an maturity that is sometime lacking in even 24-year-olds, I'd love to let the young'uns play in certain circumstances. However, there are enough stupid and immature people who will goof around or do something to screw up the image of airsoft in the public eye enough that might get the sport banned. Mix that with the fact an officer might shoot you if they feel threatened and it's too difficult to see the orange muzzle and there are a lot of anti-gun people out there... Well, let's just say that I understand why we have the laws, and given the alternative posibilities, I'd have to agree with the law.

I agree in that the general view is to heckle anyone under 14 that plays airsoft but with supervision etc then it should be ok.

Whenever we play at our site, for each team we have:-

Atleast 1 marshall

# Must wear a fluresant / Hi-Vis jacket and stand out of the way of combat at all times unless needed.
# Will retain a whistle that in blown three times in quick sucession will begin or stop game play.
# Can and will hand out punishments for deviating team members or persons breaking 'in house' rules, such as the 10ft Bang rule.

A Marshall must be atleast 18 years of age and must be impartial to judge all if only one marshall is available, if two are then one will be assigned to either team or will swap over per game.

1 Team leader

There job is to control anyone below them and maintain game safety at all times such as making sure that they:-

# Make all players use eye protection and never remove it in a firezone.
# Stop play if an injury has occoured such as a player being severly hurt.
# Maintained Communication between the other team leader for the other team.
# Perform Safety Checks and Issue a role call after and before each game to attain any further information of player health or other issues such as cheating allogations etc.

A team leader must be atleast 18 years of age and show maturity for this important position.

1 Deputy leader

A deputy leader must do all of the above and aid the team leader with communication and player / team checks.

A deputy leader must be atleast 16 years of age (18 if possible).

Players

All players must be atleast 13 years of age and if below 16 must proove there knowledge and understanding of safety before being allowed out into the firezone.

All persons / players under the age of 16 MUST wear full face protection such as a 'V-Force' paintball mask or Fully sealed goggles and mouth protection such as a 'King arms Half face mask'.

All players upon entering areas such as no-fire zones MUST remove magazines from guns and discharge the remaining 'Loaded' or 'Barreld' rounds before entering the no-fire zone, this will prevent anyone from accidently getting shot when everyone has no eye protection on. Also gas powered devices such as pistol magazines, distraction grenades, landmines, grenades etc MUST be discharged from both BB's and Gas prior to entering the no-fire zone.

A form stating terms and conditions of play will be handed out prior to any player being entered into teams in of which will be a standard release form stating that by taking part in the games and agreeing to monitor self safety will keep the player from being able to hold the organizer / location manager responsable for any law suit if the player sustains any injury if be means that have deviated from the above rules.

So yeah, sounds pretty complicated for just a game of airsoft but you gotta think, people are shooting at you or others, would you want to be held responsable for there well being if somthing went wrong?.

Haha, that's not to bad a job comming up with some decent rules. Allthough, it is very similar to what's generally accepted. Sounds like you're starting a Cub Scouts for airsoft.

True but I will NOT be held responsable for some little a*****e that decided to piss around by shooting unarmed, ungoggled people.

Either play by my rules or dont play at all.

Someone even had the balls to attempt to argue with me so I just pulled out a loaded grenade out and slid it into my M203, pointed it at them then they quickly changed there mind and shut up lol.

wait threatening someone with a grenade isnt all that mature if they argue about the rules tell em to leave, not point a loaded weapon at them, this isnt some hero movie or some s**t, tell to leave. I dont really agree with the mask rule but eh not where I play.

And jesus christ can we not bring up this topic it just gets loaded with clearsofters and stupidity.

Yeah but when they threaten not to leave by pointing a airsoft gun at you didnt help the situation either.

Also if you wish not to bring up topics then do not point things out, as for the mask situation, you would abide by the rules or be kicked off site.

Then fix it.

Lol Unless the whole thing is broken in half they are really not that hard to fix.

Lol "On a team" can mean several different things. You could fart around with a couple of your friends in your basement and call that a "CQB TEAM"
