So, I've found out there are twenty four episodes in the US release of Black Cat. DVD 4 has A Distant Cat between A Kitty Cat (A Chibi Cat in the subbed versions I've seen) and The Cat and the Lizard (A Dragon-Hunting Cat, again in the subs I've seen) so this means that the episodes will be renumerated.

No other major mentions have been made of this, so I figured it was relevant enough to meander outside of the anime section, which I doubt anyone still checks, into the general area. X3 I think it's big enough to merit space over here.

As you all know, I'm a big Charden fan (duh) and the episode is the "lost" one that the footage from the final(I think?) episode took from, the mythical nonexistant fight between Sephira and Charden.

Animenews has a review of the DVD release, including this summary which is (presumably) from episode 15 (14.5)

Number 1 Sephiria Arks hands over control of Chronos to Number II Belze Rochefort so she can head out on a solitary mission. Train and crew are on a little vacation in order to give Black Cat some much needed time to recover. Unfortunately that is interrupted by Sephiria as the two former comrades face off in the rain. While the two remince over the past a former Apostles of the Star member, Charden Flamberg, attacks Sephiria. As the two battle Train protests their senseless violence to the point of physically coming between the two before a life could be lost. With the battle over Sephiria gives Black Cat a special bullet while Charden makes his escape. Back at the Chronos headquarters all the numbers have gathered for the initiation of new Numbers to the organization. This includes the new Number 10 Lin Shaolee who has an plan he wants to suggest to Chronos.

Anyone have thoughts on this? I'm always glad for new Black Cat stuff(and thus new Charden stuff), really. It also adds a timeline reference for Lin's entrance into the Numbers, and will clear up the confusion with the finale.

I can't wait until I can get my paws on this DVD.

(Gee, I sound so... Awesome and credible! This increases my self-confidence score by 23.5%)
