RP rules & Suggestions
00. OOC and IC are seperate! I cannot stress this enough, as there is nothing more aggravating. What happens IC is IC, and not a reflection of OOC feelings about the other owner. Some pets are naturally meaner or such, and if they are mean to your pet does not mean the other owner hates you or anything! Also by this token, it means what you know as a player should not be put ICly into thgins by your pet. You do not know everyone and everything about them.
01. No Godmodding. It's not fun when things happen without your ability ti give input, so don't control other people's pets/characters. Alternately, don't be a 'superman' and always hit/dodge/whatever stuff, as it's not fun and pretty boring actually. Be reasonable and realistic and respect one another's roleplay. This includes killing other people's pets/players.
02. Pg-13 ... or else. Mintaka will personally eviscerate people found doing nasty naughty thigns in the shop/guild and they WILL never be welcome here again. So just... don't. Cybering is against the ToS anyway, and extremely detailed/gory stuff is jsut not necessary here. So don't. You've been warned, so don't push your luck. (In fact, there's no physical reproduction so why would you need to...?)
03. No making up places in the alternate world. While creativity is all fine and good, if it doesn't exist, it... doesn't exist. Please don't go making up places that don't exist as we may have plans for something or another, etc.
04. Do not give your pets powers. Unless staff has specified otherwise, your pets do not get special magical powers. All pets are equal unless otherwise specifed in abilities and powers, with some normal-level variations. No superman strength, lazer eye beams, and casting spell type random powers. Be reasonable - they're still animals.
05. Use common sense. If you seriously think twice if something might be really offensive/rule-breaking or upsetting (or might do soemthign to someone's pet without permission) ... just don't. Ask if you have to, we staff DO exist for a reason aside coloring. Play nice, have fun... you know... relax. Roleplay is not serious business that requires people to get strung up and upset over.
05a. Roleplays do NOT have to be finished to start a new one. I'm (Mintaka) going to stamp my foot down here on this one. Just because one pet is in a roleplay with another doesn't mean it HAS to be done to start a new roleplay. This means if person B you're roleplaying with can't reply for awhile for ANY reason, don't complain you CAN'T roleplay and make issues for them or bother people about it ... seriously. RP is NOT so important it requires finishing a roleplay to go start another with someone else, and cause headaches for others. While you might like 'continuity' it is not necessary at this shop and should not be grounds to cause people issue. Please, for the sake of everyone's sanity, don't make mountains out of molehills on this.
Suggestions
These are thigns we'd really, really love you to keep in mind with roleplay.
01. Be open to roleplaying with anyone. Really, a new person wants to roleplay too, welcome them in and have a round. It could be very fun! Don't just hide in a hole with your small group, come out and play with people!
02. Be responsible with 'disabilities'... While we don't want to flat-out ban them from excisting, we do want to put a few notes about them in our world. These are creatures created from magic, and as such do not come naturally with any faults. However, over time beign flesh and blood, they could suffer some injury or issue through extensive roleplay that may cause something. There will always eb an option to have damage 'repaired' via magic, and restored - wether 100% perfect or not may be discussed, but no pet under the will of the NPCs would be allowed to suffer. We ask owners to be responsible and play their problems properly, so as to avoid conflict and upsetting of those who may know first hand (themselves or family/friends) - we'd rather not see maladies that come simply from genetics like diseases as... they ARE magical. Blindness, deafness, and injury can happen however... jsut we DO ask you not to overdo it, or overplay it. The world is a magical world, so such thigns are attempted to be dealt with. Minor things as a slight hearing loss or poor eyesight are fine - these are natural occurances over time... but we ask them to be introduced subtly, and voer time preferably. It really is more interesting to work into it, then just... be. Really!

New Thread Title Rules
A few things on threads in this subforum. In order to make it easier on everyone and to avoid issues we ask that people DO label their RPs appropriately, using the following tags:
[PRP] - a private RP, with people specifically asked into the RP. Usually the first post will mention who all is allowed to post. If you aren't, please refrain from posting in this thread.
[ORP] - Open Roleplay, a thread that allows anyone to come into the roleplay. A first post should give a bit of setting and anything else noteworthy. If you want to join, please be sure to see where the RP is at currently so your character's entrance fits.
The actual thread titel aside these tags can be anything describing it, particularly for ORP threads. PRPs can simply name who's involved or just be a title, so long as the tag remains.
If there is any metaplot/plot arcs for the shop going, the thread will be stickied, and be marked with [SRP] - for SHOP RP, or STORY RP. These are NOT mandatory however, although it would be loved if poeple got involved in them.
