Extended Rules

Explainations on rules. However, just because it's not outlined here but might be bending and/or breaking the ruels doesn't mean you SHOULD do it. Play nice and don't push your limits as that'sa good way to earn Mintaka's wrath. (Min is far more strict then anyone else here likely.) domokun

00. NO DRAMA. By this, I mean no brining stuff in form other shops badmouthing the shop, the staff, or even other users. I don't want to hear complaints about THIS shop either, or fighting with other users over things. However, healthy debate is acceptable - if there is discussion of a topic, and it stays fair and does not desolve to personal attacks, it's fine. But keep the personal bull and shop attacks (ours or anyone's) out of this thread. Have an issue with our shop, PM the mule. Have an issue elsewhere? Go complain somewhere else, not here.

01. Maintain a level fo maturity. Seriously, we're all old enough to be responsible, right? Right. This means we don't need a lot of petty backstabbing, bullshit, and picky-a** tattletelling over little things. WHile being concerned and bringing things to the attention of staff IS nice, we really don't need to be 5-year-olds over EVERYTHING. Seriously. Don't drive the staff mad being picky and pissy and causing stupid litlte s**t. I suppose that DOES fall under the no drama thing but eh... it needs reiterating.

02. No Begging, whining, harassing staff or owners, etc. Yes, they ARE very pretty, but this doesn't mean you have to annoy everyone to try and get one. Begging actually makes peopel more inclined NOT to give you one. Annoying staff only angers them and takes time away from doign things, including the possible free giveaways. Be patient, hang around, and be friendly. Those found bothering people trying to aquire one will liekly NOT get one and be warned. Repeated issues will result in worse.

03. No flaming, trolling, harassment. While this is a part of rule 1, it needs stated seperately. We will not tolerate harassment of owners or the shop, and will deal with it accordingly, including seeking a mod if needed to deal with the problem. Don't start in on people, don't be rude, and don't be a jerk. Simple as that.

04. NO ART THEFT. Mintaka has a very personal hated of art theft and anyone found stealing from this shop will regret it greatly and all possible lengths to stop it will be taken. If we ask you to take it down ... do so. You will not like the angry Mintaka. This also includes trying to steal other people's pets and claim them as your own.

05. Do not alert the certs/pets. No adding your own items, etc. to the cert. If a cert needs a correction, talk to the staff. Do not jsut do thgins yourself. RP portraits and sig image uses are okay -- we jsut don't want people doing thigns to the pets without permission and all.

06. No reselling of pets. We worked hard on these, very hard. And it'd be pretty insulting for you to just up and sell it yourself to whomever. in fact, you'd be making a profit off something you didn't make! If you wish to co-own or transfer ownership, talk to the staff via the mule, and things will be worked out. Do not take bribes for babies, etc. either as that is unfair to us, and even to the person bribing. If you are caught, it will not end well - the staff may, at their discretion, revoke the pet(s) involved and null their existence from the world. It's just very rude to do -- do not think you can use babies for a cash machine. Hold a freee contest or something or let the shop rehome a baby if you don't want it.

07. No spamming and/or advertising. This means don't post absolute nonsense and other stuff compeltely irrelevent to the conversation that causes derailment, page stretching and other thigns which disrupt. Also, don't advertise your stuff in your post ... that is beyond rude to do in someone's shop/business and you will be warned for doing it. Repeated violations may result in Grey or black lists (sad/bad lists).

08. Rules are subject to amending, corrections and additions as required. While Mintaka doesn't believe in ex-post facto, she does believe if a new rule is needed it will be added. If one does, a news note will be made, and you are exected to keep up on them.

Ownership, Unowned Pets, and Pet Rules

01. Two may co-own a Drifting Along. Three may be allowed in auctions, and only auctions. However, only ONE person should RP the pet. Any agreements between owners over babies, etc. must be made ebtween them ... if staff MUST get involved to resolve issues, it probably won't end in anyone's favor, so be mature about it. Whilew co-owning is fine, there are certain headaches/issues, so be SURE of the person you co-own with and that you know them so no issues come up.

02. DO not ask to co-own a Drifting Along. It's really, really annoying and akin to begging. If someone JUST won one somehow, don't start asking if they can co-own with you. They will go to you, or not co-own. People found doing this will be warned, and repeated violations dealt with accordingly - possibly a bar on buying any and breeding, or other methods. If you wish to offer aid in an auction, please keep it to PMs, and respect if they decline. If someone offers to help, and help pay, they should pay to have any claim of ownership, unless the original bidder(s) are fine with still co-owning. If any issues arise form this, it will be looked into.

03. Do not make plans about a pet you do not own yet, consistently keep saying you want something in an event that hasn't been one, or otherwise make others feel uncomfortable about trying. Just because you may like a pet does not mean you can start talking like you own it and 'make plans' -- it's really rather rude, especially if others are actively trying as well. This also goes with repeating frequently how bad you want something that isn't owned yet but up (or even a cosplay that may be custom'd) -- it makes others who may also want it uncomfortable, among other things. People found consistently being annoying/badgering on about it, or making plans for somethign they do not own (especially already made ones up in an event/sale) will be reprimanded and/or barred from the event in question. Everyone deserves a fair chance, including those 'not as rabid as you'.

04. Cosplays/generic ideas are first come, first serve and may not be 'reserved' or 'be yours' because you were questing longer/*insert reason* The only people allowed to 'claim' a pet are staff (Mintaka, Graceangel, Tara Jenkins (though everyone should check to be sure a cosplay is okay and not planned for something)) - we work our butts off, keeping this going. We deserve SOMETHING. However, if a person is questing for a cosplay, and anotehr comes along and wants the same thing, there will not be any fighting over it, and if the second person gets it, so be it. They were able to first, and it's only fair we are able to offer it to whomever is first to be able to purchase/win/whatever. Drama over such thigns will be dealt with with Mintaka's nail bat of doom, also known as being reminded of the rules. You are nto the only eprson to enjoy some characters, and respect should be given to all. The world will NOT end if you don't get that Squall cosplay.

05. Do nto tell others how to roleplay their pet. I'm shoving this rule here and with the RP section, as it annoys Mintaka to NO END whatsoever to hear people do this. If you don't like how they RP, don't RP with them. If they play a cosplay 'out of character' to canon, don't get on them. They are cosplays and not the actual character. So they don't have to act like the pet. Respect another person's wishes to play a pet how they want, even if it seems odd to you. I will not tolerate people demanding others to bend to their wants and wishes over a pet.
