SPECIAL SKILLSLevel 01. Randomizer: Unfortunately Canelle's mechanical puppet doesn't always do what it is supposed to. In fact.. it
often doesn't do what it is supposed to. As Canelle moves through the stages and improves her skill and her mechanical puppet, the chance of backfire is lessened, though not entirely removed. If the die lands on an unfavorable number, the mechanical puppet suffers a malfunction and while the action is performed correctly, the target switches sides. Thus it is possible for the mechanical puppet to punch a teammate or speed up an enemy.
At level one: 1 - 10 is unfavorable, 11 - 20 is favorable.
At level two: 1 - 8 is unfavorable, 9 - 20 is favorable.
At level three: 1 - 4 is unfavorable, 5 - 20 is favorable.
NB: This skill is applied to
everything that Canelle does within the battle system, unless for some reason she is acting on her own rather than using her mechanical puppet. In the event that the battle make-up is more than Canelle and a single enemy, use Gaia's random number function to determine who is affected.
Level 02. Positive Stat Effect (Evade): Canelle's older brother taught her how to cast Haste in hopes that she would use it to get herself out of battle quickly. Instead she took her knowledge and tinkered with her mechanical puppet to enable it to imbue Haste itself. The associated bonus is +2/+4/+6 to Evade depending on job level. The effect lasts 1, 2, or 3 rounds depending on job level.
Level 03. Charge: Canelle spends one round calibrating her mechanical puppet to do an extra strong melee attack. The bonus to melee is +3/+6/+9 and only lasts for one round.
WEAPON Mechanical Puppet. In the first level, this is a small wooden mechanical puppet made of wood and mechanical gears. As Canelle progresses through the levels, her mechanical puppet becomes larger as she rebuilds and improves upon it using both mechanical know-how and magic to bind it all together. (
