Vampire Mountain is home to the Elkharian Vampires, the vampires of OUR world. All, of course, are welcome as well, though you must respect the Vampire Princes here, and the Quartermaster as well.

Here, we have the main important characters:

- Prince Darren Shan: As a half-human and the youngest Vampire Prince, his mentor is Larten Creplsey, and he also happens to be one of Desmund Tiny's sons. He is the very main character in Cirque Du Freak, the book series on which Vampire Mountain is based upon. Darren Shan's brother, and arch nemisis, is the Vampaneze Lord, Steve Leopard.

- Larten Crepsley: An old legendary vampire, who was mentored under the Quartermaster, Seba Niles. Larten Crepsley is also held with the same respect as a prince, considering the fact that he's Prince Darren Shan's very mentor.

- Harkat Mulds: Little Person, and reincarnation of vampire traitor, Kurda Smalht, Harkat Mulds is Darren Shan's best friend, and also was assigned by Desmund Tiny to watch over Darren. Harkat is a rather ugly creature, no lies about that, though his character makes him stand out even more (in a positive manner), and he is just as much respected as Prince Darren Shan, Larten Creplsey, and Seba Niles.

- Vancha March: As the most traditional Vampire Prince, Vancha March is wild and well known for his almost insane character. As much of an animal as he may appear, he is truly honorable and holds a deep dedication to the honor of his clan.

- Seba Niles: This old vampire is Quartermaster at Vampire Mountain, and the one of (if not THE) most respected vampires there. He has mentored many vampires in his time, though if you were to ask him, he would tell you that his most oustanding of assistants would be Larten Crepsley, who has grown to become much like Seba as well, and has learned a great deal in his time as both a vampire and a mentor for Prince Darren Shan.

Vampires here are very different from their cousins, in many ways:

- They don't kill when they feed, nor do they use fangs; they have sharp, hard black nails, which they cut their victims with, when they feed for blood. Then they seal the wounds up by healing them with their actual spit (there's a kind of chemical in their saliva that helps with the healing process).

- Vampires have ten scars on their figertips, because they blood their human assistants by connecting figertips (all cut open) and trading their blood through their fingers and through each others' arms, until they are blooded into a half or full vampire (the vampires of course use their spit to heal each others' fingertips, leaving ten permenant scars on all fingertips).

- Vampires can be seen in mirrors, but not photographs; their is something in their DNA that is too abnormal to be caught on photograph.

- They can walk in the sun for a little while, but if they stand in the sun for too long, they will burn to ash; however, half-vampires have no fear of this, since they can still walk in the sun, until they become full vampires.

- Rarely will you find any female vampires, for all Elkharian vampires are sterile; there is a chemical in their blood that prevents them from siring or bearing children.

- Vampires can not fly, nor change into different forms. However, they can run at very fast speeds, and their fastest speed is called flitting. Also, they can climb walls, if the material of the walls are easy enough for the vampires to scale. They can also send telepathic thoughts to each other, and can communicate from many miles away from each other.

* NOTE: All of these characters and characteristics of the vampires are based upon the story, Cirque Du Freak. I take NO credit what so ever of creating any of it; however, the name Elkharian is the only thing that I've added to them, besides their connection to other vampire breeds. *

"Oh, where in the world did I put them?" Mr. Creplsey grumbled, as he and Seba searched the entire room for the maps. The long scar on the left side of Mr. Creplsey's face was crinkled up as he scrunched his face into a frustrated scowl, and he ended up cursing under his breath as he stubbed his hand accidentally into one crate.

"Mr. Crepsley, are you okay?" a raspy voice asked, and the old vampire looked up at the doorway to see a familiar blue-robed, short and thick Little Person limping a bit into the room.

"As a matter of fact, yes, we do, Harkat," Seba said, as he as well limped a bit, from a wound he had taken in the leg over ten years before. THE Quartermaster then motioned for Harkat to come and help in their almost failing search.

"What ARE you two looking for?" Harkat asked quizzically, his right green eye lifting up a bit on the top of his head. His voice was muffled by the mask that he about always wore over his face, in order to breath (the air was toxic to him).

"Damn crate!" Mr. Creplsey growled, as he stubbed his foot into the same crate. He pounded his fist on top of it, and cursed some more as he accidentally tripped on a pice of paper as he turned around.

"Hey, I think that's the map!" Harkat exclaimed, as he walked over and picked up the paper. "Wow, it is! And it's still in perfect condition!"

(( Don't forget, Darren's a prince, so you might want to sound a little more authoritive, and Mr. Crepsley is still his teacher, so make it sound like you've known him for at least a few decades. Just a suggestion. 3nodding ))
