Amon scuffled his feet across the rough, pavement kicking at stones. Why had his older sister, Zahra, have to go run off chasing some huge, woodland fuzz and leave him on his lonesome? He should have taken Redd with him on his walk instead! But no, he chose Zahra because she was itching to get out of the house.
Now Amon didn't mind being on his own, he was very much an independent mouse. It was just that this time Amon wanted the extra company. Sometimes it was nice to have a companion.
"Thats right..." Amon kicked a stone with all his might and let out an exasperated sigh. "A companion."

Ichigo dashed from tree to tree with a cookie in her mouth and one held on by her tail. He came down on the ground behind a LAAAARRRGGGEEE tree and put her loot down. 'ah, what a perfect day~' Ichigo thought to herself. She had snuck out of the house before anyone else did and managed to take some cookies for her dashing escape.
He grabbed a cookie and said, "Let's Eat!" to herself as she dug her teeth into the chocolate chip cookie. She chewed it as she smiled happily. She didn't mind being alone, but it'd be good to have some company. She would've taken the youngest sibling but Her older brother, Pika, would never forgive her if something bad happened to little Ryuchi. She looked up with a free paw covering the sunlight. The light shone through the leaves as she admired the greens and blues above her head.

Amon grummbled to himself. He wasn't usually so angsty, but the feeling still remained. He sighed again and scuffed at another stone. The stone bounced rather awkwardly and rolled off the pavement into the grass.
"Go figure." Amon whined.
The sweet smell of chocolate chip grabbed his attention and his ears perked. Ceres HAD left earlier with a batch of cookies for the neighborhood mice, maybe it was her!
"I hope she has some cookies for me." Amon beamed as he made his way past a tree. "Because I sure do like Triple Chocolate Chip."

Ichigo felt a burst of wind come past her as a mouse had run by. She decided to have a little fun and just sit there to watch this mouse scramble as the scent of her triple chocolate chip cookie in her hand had attracted this brightly coloured male mouse. 'let's go~' she thought to herself as she picked up her cookies and dashed to another tree, spying on this mouse.
You could've said this was Ichigo's first love, but she toys with everymouse's minds. Even her own family! She watched this male try hunting down her cookies. She didn't like to hoard her stash but she would much rather make her prey work for the things they might receive.

Now Amon didn't have the scent-sniffy-oused nose in the whole world, but he sure did notice the scent of his beloved cookies getting closer and closer. A few more steps. Closer still. He was hot on the cookie trail! His little candy-cane, pink and light blue, tail swished back and forth with anticipation. His little mouth watered ever more the closer he got to the cookies. Something was a little off though.
As Amon made his way towards the scent the trees around him started getting thicker and thicker. Before he knew it he wasn't in the neighborhood anymore.
"Ceres wouldn't come here." Amon mummbled turning around. He turned again and again surveying his surroundings. "... Where am I?" Amon thought.

Ichigo thought that this male looked lost and that it might've been her fault that he ended up here. "you're right here." Ichigo said as she came into view right in front of this bright male. "here. i think this was what you were looking for." she said as she handed him the second, unbitten cookie that she had taken from home. "don't worry, take it." she said to him with a sweet smile.
Ichigo seemed to find this male quite amusing. He seemed to overreact to slight things like stepping into the garden next to the path. Of course she wanted to have some fun, so she didn't tell him that they didn't drift far.

Amon closed his eyes imagining the way he came. A female voice caused him jumped about a foot. Ichigo had seriously startled him. His little body went from one extreme to the other. He was now absolutely petrified. His heart was racing, faster and faster yet.
"I think I am going to have a heart attack!" Amon stuttered collapsing to the ground clutching his chest, his eyes still closed tightly shut.
"I am lost and I am going to have a heart attack! No one is going to find me. I am going to die here. I am... I am... I am..." The little mouse's words were going a mile a minute. He continued his rolling until he tired and laid back with his front paws raised to the sky.
" I look so pale!" He exclaimed. "I uh... Feet up? Or down? Oh, were is Lilac?" Amon looked up and spotted the other girl for the first time. She sure did look lovely.
"I...uh... are you an Angel?"

Ichigo shook her head. "no, i am not an angel." She said with a giggle. He was the second person she had ever met, and she fgelt as if she already knew him for so long. "what's your name? i'm Ichigo." she said to him softly. "i work as the theif of the house. there is no cookie i can't steal from my human." she added with a playful giggle.
"here, really, take it." She said as she handed him the cookie into his paws this time. "you came for this, right?" she asked him as she didn't really think he wandered into the wood without trying to hunt something yummy down.

"Oh." Amon flopped back. "That is too bad." He muttered quietly. I would have liked if she were an angel, he thought. "Well..." the pink and blue boy sat up from his sprawled flop and looked up at Ichigo. "Amon." He said. "That's my name." He wasn't as shy around Ichigo as he had expected to be and she was not half as scary as he made her out to be. Well aside from that whole thief thing.
"So you thieve stuff?" Amon said taking the cookie. She was right. That was precisely what he was chasing. "These are my favorite kind!" He exclaimed taking a huge bite from the triple chocolate chip cookie. "So good!" He mumbled with his mouth full.

"glad you like it" she said happily. She didn't feel like tricking this male mouse and toying with his mind, so she walked behind him, "here's the way to the path." she said. "follow me. if you fall behind, i'll leave you." she said slyly. Ichigo started off as she pushed the tree leaves out of her face and way.
Though she had told him she'd leave him behind, She constantly watched behind her top see if he was keeing up with her. She had never been so obsessive lioke this over someone. 'what is this feeling, so sudden and new?' She thought to herself.

'Follow her? But I want to explore.' Amon thought getting up from his on-ground position. He followed her anyway though. He didn't want to stay lost.
He kicked at a stone, possible clump of dirt on the ground, something kickable, as he gnawed on his delicious treat. He looked up for a second and then back down and then back up at Ichigo. "You're too cute to be a theif." Amon whispered nearly unaudible.

Ichigo often caught Amon's eyes as she quickly turned back. Ichigo could head slight whispering as her ears twitched. "what was that?" she said. "i thought to said something." She said to him bluntly but still playful-like. "tell me please~" she said softly as she turned and stopped on the spot. She didn't like secrets and she was SURE she heard something. theives need good hearing to do these things

"Oh yeah." Amon said stopping behind Ichigo slightly blushing at her playful tone. Was she flirting with him? He had just meet this pretty femmie mouse. He looked up at her and ran a paw over his fur to flatten it nervously.
"I asked you how theives work?" He said with a slightly questionable tone. Wow, Ichigo sure is making me nervous... in a good way, the embarassed boy thought.

"oh, that's it?" She said surprised that she overreacted with such a small question. She sat down on her dress with her legs crossed, "sit, it's a short story but stories are best told sitting down. plus there's not much sun here." She said softly as she patted the ground between his feet.
Before she got him to sit, she began her story. "well, basically, the life of a theif is to be sneaky-fast like, all NINJAR! but there's more!" she started but didn't end yet.

Amon sat and smiled at Ichigo while she started her story. He loved stories! Even better when read, in this case told, him one.
Amon munched on his cookie still. He ate slowly but savored each and every bite.
"All this story needs is some milk." Amon chewed with a chuckle.
His mousey ears twitched when Ichigo 'NINJAR'ed. He laughed.
"Ninjas are cute... I MEAN COOL! I meant cool! Ninjas are cool!" Amon blushed a very deep shade of pink.
