They've already seen what itachi can do and they still pick new chuunins to help them capture itachi.
Yeah, that was my thought after the first wave of YAY! But Team 8 specializes in tracking, and since they don't have a jounin at the moment, there's no concern as far as the chain of command goes. And apparently they've been on a lot of missions together and are good with capture:
