this guild is slowly though surely growing however, use mod's are constantly accpeting request but never really seeing a a large amount of new faces, which brings me too my proposal. I'm proposing in short, the first member activity comitee.I feel as though to make this work we need are users to be active within the guild of through out gaia.im proposing we merely.
1. Require all new users to register within the Comitiee.
2. Appointed Comitee members, scan member activity bi weekly, inactive users get removed(unless excuse is produced.)
any seconds?

Not bad at all comrade, actually it's a damn good idea, or put it in the rules that you have to post at least 2 or 3 times a month or you will be removed. Also, when people register make it an option to not need to post but just read, cause a few people have joined and done that and become communists or socialists.

Also, I think the commitee members should be elected, we haven't had elections in this guild for a while due to reconstruction and it's generally a good principle.

is there a way to tell how many members there are because we cant really hold elections if there are not enough members

If this commitee does get created i think The leninator and comrade james should be the first ones on it without having to be elected

Currently there are 164 members, with 1762 posts. Currently we probably have 5-6 very active members (post a lot) and 5-6 semi-active members (post occaisionally) but that's the reason this would be a good idea, there'd only need to be 2 or 3 people on it for it to function, we generally have 4-6 join requests per week by the way, and I already pm most of them with a short entry form type thing (if they answered all the questions I have on the form in their request then I just accept them), but we need a way to keep people active.

Well, look around- we remodled the guild to be a school in which we teach and discuss communism and it's much more organized then before. And we're growing.

great idea but maybe the commitee should vote in new members or have the new members explain all they know about and want to learn about our movement and communism

The problem with the voting idea is how long it would take, I think the survey and a short discussion would be enough.

I'm all for that.
I know I don't post much.
but I'm a busy man.

I think its a good idea, but when the guild grows to a certain point, think about how many mods you would have to have, to make sure everyone was posting and being active.

Perhaps we could create a Thread that everyone has to post on once every few months, so that the mod can just go in and count off. Who ever doesn't post gets a warning PM, no response gets booted.
