Imagine me, in the forums, helping and making popular topics for good causes. Why I think I should get the name Gaara is because I would put the name to good use.
I would help many people, such as noobs entering the new forums, and since I would have the name 'Gaara' more people would pay attention to the many things I have to say. And more awareness is good for everyone. Especially the newcomers, who know very little of gaia, and need help most of the time.
Most don't think about it, but many gaians are untold, their causes and reflections unheard. Such as myself, there are many concerns, and things that I would like to bring about. Such as an easier way to report someone, the design can be misunderstood by a lot of people. Especially newcomers to Gaia.
Another reason I would like the name, is because it's original. If someone put in 'Gaara' to the search engine, they would find my gaia, and I would be more common. With more popularity, more people would see the things I have to say, and I wouldn't be unheard. More and more people would be aware of the causes and guilds I support.
Another thing, I would not abuse the name like most other gaians, I would make sure that all of my friends, are not random people adding an original.
I know for a fact, that most originals abandon their accounts. But I have been on gaia for over 2 years, so I know that I'm not going to one of them. (Not on this account, another.)
In conclusion, I know there are a lot of other people that wish for this name, and I probably will not get it. But just know that it's for a good cause. So if you chose me, the name would not be wasted.

If you gave me the name, then I would not abuse it. I would act like a normal person with a normal name, and I wouldn't go around telling people, "Ha! My name is better!" I would act normal, and just continue on with what I normally do. I LOVE Gaara, and I hope I get the name!

Well, you did mention not to be overly formal in this....so I guess I'll just go with a much more casual approach then, ne?
If I could have that Gaara account, I could most definitely make good use of it ^^ I do love Gaara (though I won't make a short little spazz post about my love for him.... *stares at people*), and it'd be a lot of fun to use that name. I won't die if I don't get it, but if I did have it, I'd never just give it up. Too many people ditch good names.
As for what to do with it, I'd like to make a really good cosplay (and those oculus something eyes have a really good setting for Gaara...), and use it for roleplaying as well XD As someone else mentioned, it's a good way to get attention too, so I can take advantage of that for things that should be mentioned, like important, meaningful, or just plain awesome threads, advertise for my own account, get donations (and fangirls would love to donate to "Gaara" XDD), advertise for my friend's donation threads, ect....
Oooh, you know what else would be fun? "Letters to Gaara". Kekekekekeke.....
Oh yeah, btw, you are an insanely cool/smart person for this whole essay idea. Better than just letting the name go to waste, or giving it to someone who will use it, well, stupidly XP

A few things before the essay officially starts. I'm a semi formal person , so I'm not trying to impress you with formality. And I fell out of my chair when I seen this once in a life time offer. Today at school I wrote essays' by hand. I threw them away though. I thought it would of been to obsessive. Okay so to get started.
Okay I think Gaara would be well in my hands. I could protect the password. I could help my friends by advertising there quest forums and so on. Since Gaara has 4280ish people named after him. It would be easier to be recognized when I need a good cause to enter the avi arena.
I could try my ever so fought dream of becoming a gaia helper. How? Simple, I already scan the forums and warn people even though it isn't my job. But I could make threads about rules and reluctantly some people would probly listen.
I thank Gaara would be left in good hands, he would be my new main account. I would help new people on the sight for someone doesn't just ignore a legendary account name like that. But it's not so much the name that access the importance of your account it's the way you have taken care of it.
And yes as some others said before me role playing would be a necisaty. I role play as a ninja already. And it would boost the effect if I had the name Gaara for I role play as him in a Ambu form.
I wouldn't care if I didn't get it but it is just a one in a million chance. ((Or how many ever essays there are.)) I could start petitions which would pick up, fast.
I study Gaara all the time. He is probly the biggest priority in Naruto. I doubt the show could run without Gaara, himself. Thus gaia wouldn't run. For it's a anime name that still lives.
And the originality of the name is shocking. Having a account like that would be breath taking and the ways to use it for good! There is probly to many to list. But as I said before it would probly help me to become a gaia helper so I can help out gaia, since it has so much upon it's shoulders already.
I would even access this account when I'm in collage, and I will do the same thing as you one day. Once and if when I'm to old for this sight the name will not be lost but given to someone else.
As a matter fact I meet my wife through an RP , I was role playing as Gaara. I'm sure it would be a wonderful baby shower gift for her. All though it would be hard to explain but I think you get the idea.
But yes to sum it up I do think I would be capable of owning Gaara. So I congratulate you on your baby and thank you for your patience of reading this.

Hello, Gaara. Remember back in February hwen I PMed you and we had a chat about me getting your account. I never thought that'd actually happen. Not that I have, but y-know..I might.
Ok, Gaara. I think thats great that your not stealing the name and not letting anybody else use it.
I think I should have that name because, quite frankly, I think I could make good use out of it. I'd make my Gaara, obsessive, friend beg for the account, (Chicks would dig me!), and maybe I could win a contest or two.
I have enough gold to buy back everything your currently wearing and I might add things onto this account that would make him look even more like Gaara.
Then theres rolebplaying. I'm in a few Naruto giulds...Actually, i'm only in two I think. How great would that be to have the name Gaara in a ninja roleplay.
A few years from now, when I am old enough to join the military, I will quit gaia, but give the name to someone. Who wants to waste a great name?
When I first started Gaia, you were the first person who accepted my frined request. I was very glad when someone who wasn't anywhere near a noob accepted me. I thank you for that. Please consider giving me your account.

(well given that im a giant gaara fan i must enter this contest i cant help but try and get the name) Well i believe that i should get the name because i could do so much with it. Helping ppl out who dont know what they're doing is a good bonus of having a name like gaara. im not much of an rper so i might not use it for that but i might start rping with a name like gaara. Im not going to abuse the power of gaara or be an a** about the fact that i have his name im not going to go off and be like "oh im gaara im so better then you yeah im the 1337 ninja.", and like many ppl have said already i love the fact that you're allowing ppl to try and get this name instead of thaking it with you. I too will give the name to someone if i quit. I higly dout I will quit gaia any time soon or quit at all for that matter. I would use the name for good not evil. Well, Right now I am working really hard to get the Gaara clothes. But, Currently I don't have them equipped. I think I know alot about Gaara.
About his past, How he had no one to love and he thought Yashamaru loved him but, when he died he figured out he always hated him in the inside. So with that, He kill to remind himself he lives. He has a Sand demon in him. That is why I think I should have the privlege of having the name "Gaara". Thank you for taking your time to read this.

The reason I want the name Gaara? Oh let me count the ways...
I would like the name Gaara, because it IS the best name, ever made. ever. It is an original, one of the best. And honestly, EVERYONE wants that name. But, if you give it to me, I would put it to good use.
I would role-play with that username, and it would make me more common, and more popularity means that I have more people to role-play with, and more ideas and such. Being Gaara must be really nice.
I would NOT add random people because I want to look cool. I know that's what some people do, and for some reason i find it rather odd...
I would try to become a really good cosplay, bringing more life to the other cosplayers, spewing out tips and pieces of advice. Honestly, I love to role-play.
I would make an official Gaara guild, well, somewhat official. And imagine that, a Gaara guild made by someone named Gaara. It's ironic.
With that classy original name, I would try to be as good as you cosplay. Which was good by the way, I want to try to beat it. >_<
I know there's a LOT of people asking for that username, but consider me?

Alright o_o, So one of the reasons I would want the name Gaara is because of course, he is my favorite naruto character, second when I started watching naruto, I came right back to Gaia and tried to get the name 'Gaara' But it said some one had already chosen it, d: Witch was you. I used the name "Gaara`" or "`Gaara" for a bit aswell o_o But i'v never liked using "`",numbers, underscores, or anything like that
I've never really been able to choose a name and keep it, but if I was ever given the name Gaara o_o I know I'd keep it, In my mind it's just simple, Not hard to remember, and fun to cosplay x] All though i am female ._. but I don't think that matters ^^;
I'm also on gaia every day o_o for 4+ hours, Not that it matters that much. x]
I imagine that you get flooded with PM's and/or Friend requests. xD I'd love to get PM's even if they are PM's like 'zomg give me your user name!' o_o
As for the password issue, some one had found out my password before and pretty much messed me up so I change it a lot as well as write it down on paper so I don't forget x]
er,.. anyway o_o if by any chance it does go to me, that would be awesome, if not I hope you choose some on thats going to keep it, and not try to re-sell it d:

Okay well here I go.
The biggest reason I want the name Gaara is because ive spent alot of time and gold trying to get a name as close to it as I can get. Which leads it to be obvious I'm a huge Gaara fan just like any other user here. I'm a huge roleplay fan too which also adds to the reason. Another big reason for me is that the freindship of Gaara and Naruto remind me of the friendship I have with my childhood friend.
I also think this would re-spark up my love for cosplay as actually attempting to make a Gaara avi. Since my last attempts were so horrible. And of course if I get this account I will do the same that one fateful day I leave Gaia.
