God had just finished making the world. That was hard stuff. He takes a little rest to look down on his creation. He smiles at the lizards who look nothing like him. Sure they don't get along too well, but with his guidance they would prosper. He decides to let them be for now. As he is resting, god decides to try something. He collects all the opium, marijuana and other mind altering plants that he has made and smokes them.
When god wakes up 65 million years later, he realizes that may have been a bad idea. He can't really remember what happened but all his precious dinosaurs are gone and the world is frozen. God quickly burries all the evidence.

So, what's the deal with dinosaurs? Why are they generally ignored by the Christian faith when there is actual proof that they existed(Unlike certain other things we believe in)? This has always bothered me. I want to know what other people think. And yes. I am probably going to hell for that...unless God has a sense of humor.

Well, God created the world and all of the scientific processes therein, including evolution. The people who wrote the bible used Metaphor as the olive oil with which they ate their words. I'm a Creationist, but not a Literalist.

I talked to my grandmother about this..
She said that there was a short period when God was making the world that the lizards lived...

and yes, God does have a sense of humor...

I've come to the conclusion that god must be fond of self-developing systems. He created the thing that marked the beginning of our multiverse. It developed itself, due to the parameters god had set. In the process of this development our universe was formed as well and developed itself, our galaxy, solar system, earth and then life on earth came into being. And since god created the whole system as being self-developing, life is being subject to evolution. Therefore species come into being and cease to exist when something happens and they're unable to adapt quickly enough.

At this point Literalists always bring the argument that god wouldn't allow the extinction of a whole species. That's the point where I always want to shatter the pink glasses those people are wearing. God allows earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions... And this doesn't only happen in places where humans live (don't give those guys the argument of some "divine punishment"), but in places of the world man has never set foot on. Why should god punish some highly specialized deep-sea flatworm?

No, nobody goes to hell, because he believes that dinosaurs or life somewhere out in space exists. Only because vain mankind isn't grown-up enough to accept uncomfortable facts doesn't mean those facts (or possibilities, according to life in space) don't exist.

What, no, only if you're not kidding option?

Alright, here's my view on it. Dinosaurs did live at one point. You can't dispute it. However, I believe that the flood changed the earth so much that many types were unable to survive the climate change. Now, there are some types that adapted and changed into some of the animals we have now. Some of them remained as they were, but they're ocean animals, and live in depths we don't even explore (they have actually found corpses of such creatures that died not long before being caught. It was pretty cool seeing a thing on it a few years ago xd ) Personally, I don't think the Loch Ness Monster is just fictional. I think its dinosaur. But whatever. Y'all are probably going to think I'm crazy now rofl .
