"Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more."
- Anthony Robbins
Interested in becoming part of the crew? By becoming a member you will become an integral part of keeping the guild running. - Participate in the brainstorming of topics, themes, events, etc. What ever the lot of us can come up with!
- Everyone can just talk about it though but it takes real work to go into detail, actually start planning, organizing and building the threads.
- If you see someone being left out, or not participating, encourage them to be a part the discussion.
- Try to keep your biases out of your decisions regarding other members. As a mod you must be try to be fair and balanced.
- Invite about 3 members a month.
- Do not delete a thread without permission.
- Do not ban a member without permission.
- Visit "Crew Discussions" subforum more than just "often". XD
How you will carry-out your role will be brought up in the Crew Discussions. This is a lot of work but we will all support each other, so don't worry! And we won't punish you for any mistake.
This guild is still pretty new so you also have a great influence in determining what makes a good crew member for future crew recruitments.

You don't have to right an essay - just fill this out. The first half (divided by the line) is to be answered in sentence form, from 1-3 sentences. Length doesn't matter so long as you try to clearly express yourself. The last half are simple yes or no questions. Why did you decide to join the guild?
Why have you decided that you'd like to become a mod?
What do you expect this guild to be like?
What do you expect being a mod to be like?
What do you want to accomplish/learn in return for being here and being a crew member?
---------------------------
Are you willing to talk openly about issues that matter to you?
Are you willing to learn more about how other people function?
Are you willing to overcome a possible fear or expressing feelings and ideas? Please post these here or PM it over to me, brother stevenson.

Alright I think I can do that. Here's an answer to each question:
Why did you decide to join the guild? I love to discuss and debate things important to me, and to others. I may seem mean at times, but try to avoid that and always try to have something constructive to add to a conversation. In short, I have good intentions. Why have you decided that you'd like to become a mod? I care about where this guild is going, and want to keep people interested and active. What do you expect this guild to be like? A place where we can intelligently and civilly discuss issues important in our lives, without the rather unkind and unsavory souls found in GD or ED. Also a place where we can try to figure out how to make the world a better place, if just a little What do you expect being a mod to be like? I'm not really sure. This guild is still small and friendly, so I don't expect much problems. However, I never shirk from my duties and will do as much as I can to fine-tune, update, and maintain the guild. What do you want to accomplish/learn in return for being here and being a crew member? I hope to encourage participation in this guild, and increase the diversity of topics. I also hope that my status will encourage any new members, or older members, to come to me for any help they might need, which I will gladly give if I can Are you willing to talk openly about issues that matter to you? Of course! I have sometimes 3 new threads in ED/GD to talk about a day, all of them things that have happened in my life or views I have taken from life experiences. I don't discuss private details, nor intrude into the lives of others, but am willing to let anyone pick my brain, as the saying goes. Are you willing to learn more about how other people function? I have already had a great time talking with other people in this guild. Its always fun to have someone to really talk to and debate with, and I participate in discussions often to find out how others think, and to learn more about myself Are you willing to overcome a possible fear or expressing feelings and ideas? I tend to be expressive in my posts, and don't really fear what people think of me. I'm a weird person and I know that, and I'm not above admitting my flaws. If my input is asked for, I'll discuss any topic, no matter how much or little it relates to me.

Gomen! crying I apologize profoundly. I forgot all about signing up!
Why did you decide to join the guild? I enjoy debate. For me, debating is a chance to learn about others and the way their minds work, how they see things, and what their opinions are. It is invigorating to learn new viewpoints.
Why have you decided that you'd like to become a mod? I'd like to promote the idea of "fun learning." ^_~ This guild is a great place for people to learn about the world around them, but it won't run itself.
What do you expect this guild to be like? I expect it to be a place for people to safely express their opinions without getting personally bashed for it. A little banter on the subject is natural, but it shouldn't be too personal. (i.e. "I'm right, you're an idiot.")
What do you expect being a mod to be like? So far it doesn't look challengeing, but you know that there will eventually be some sly troublemakers we'll have to deal with. The guild does look promising, though, and I expect being a mod would benefit.
What do you want to accomplish/learn in return for being here and being a crew member? I'm hoping it'll be one more learning experience for me to draw off of and that it will stimulate my need to express my self coherently and appropriately to others.
