This rp is actually to help me get over something horrible that has happened. So, if it sounds morbid to you, this is why. But, hopefully it won't stay morbid. In a way, it will have the situation in it, but it'll only be a major part of my character. I had tried this rp once before, so it may seem familiar if you had seen in once before. Intro It is present time, and the world seems to be as it is now. Humans are everywhere, living out their daily lives. But, behind the curtain of normalcy, there are secrets kept hidden. Long ago, when humans became fearful of all creatures of fantasy and myths, they tried to kill them all off. Instead, the different creatures and races created an enter dimensional rhealm for themselves. Humans call this place the 'Fairy Realm' in stories and legends. But, this world is more complexed than to have just fairies. To keep these portals, to this realm, as safe as possible, there are certain families that were put to duty. Their job is to keep it a secret, and to try to keep things from getting in...or out. But, a few years ago, two people had found a way through, and the guardian is ashamed for their situation. It was because they had thought one of the people to escape was kind, and was in love with them. Well, the guardian was half right. They now regret letting the people escape. Now the people have plans, both not really known to either world.

Marie Watson, a woman who was pushing up her reading glasses, found herself ready for work. She grabbed her pack, never admitting it was a purse, and headed out of her apartment. She despised city life, but this was the closet place to her other ob. And besides, she didn't want another incident, like the last one, to happen again. Her partner for the vortex was killed in the first occurence, and she regretted it as much as what she had done. But, she knew there wasn't much she could do now. She knew she couldn't kill them, no matter how hard she tried.
As she reached a certain block, she headed into her favorite little 'food shack' and sat down at her usual place. When the waitress would come, she would ask for some nice hot tea, and a bagel with cream cheese. It was always how she started her morning, and the waitress was beginning to get use to her ordering this daily bounty. And as Marie sat, waiting for the waitress to return, she would pull from her pack a small memo pad and pencil. She would begin to let herself be inspired, as she every once in a while wrote a decent poem. And here, she always seemed to be able to do so.
While Marie showed this content side of herself, she hid her true feelings inside. She was a deeply upsey person. She was angry, sad, and most of all feelings of regret. But, she made sure normal society didn't see this side of here. For, if someone were to realize it, she wouldn't be able to explain herself. She has kept her duties secret all her life from the human rhealm. And, she wasn't about to start now.

Rein Takashi, an average man, got ready for work, and ran out his door now. 'I'm late, my bos'll kill me' he thought as his footsteps seemed to echo, most were still in bed, while some having breakfast... Soon he got to the place he worked, and burst in the door. He stopped and talked to a man for a second 'Sorry i'm late, got preoccupied' he said, going into the back, he got his uniform on, and went into the kitchen, now making orders for breakfast that had come in.

Diamond Sterling was a frail, tiny girl who looked no older than twenty, at most, her curly hair in a pony tail and an overlarge smile on her face, her perfect white teeth gleaming. Her job as a waitress wasnt one she liked, but it would get her by until she moved on away from this town. She didnt have much, and niether needed much, to live by, but she didnt mind. That was how her life always was, moving from place to place and barely getting by on her low paychecks from jobs she couldnt seem to hold for more than a month.
"Uhm, Ma'am, has someone already came to get your order?" Diamond asked the woman wearing mostly black. Waitressing wasnt something she was great at, Diamond always seemed to be overlooking a table or two.

Rein soon finished making all the orders that came in, and set them out for the server to put out. 'That goes for breakfast, now to wait for more orders' he thought, taking a sit. It took a dang long while to make them all.

"All right then,"said Marie. She then saw her waitress coming towards her, placing the food, drink, and bill upon the table, and leaving. MArie then took a quick sip of her tea, and began slowly eating her bagel.

As Rein cooked, he noticed not the time, but thought to himself... 'A demon...I would think the only one living among the humans...' he thought, soon a alarm rang, signaling his shift end for an hour, he changed into his normal clothes, and walked into where people took there orders...seeing many. 'All...just humans, a half/demon like myself...I seem to fit in with them' he just stood there against a wall, watching. His figure, except his eyes, could not show that he was anything different than human.

Marie finished her meal and got out her money. She left a tip and went over to the register. Her waitress told her the amount, and she paid. Then, a wave of pain hit her belly, and she dropped her money upon the counter. She closed her eyes tightly, and held now to the counter.
"Are you all right, Miss,"she soon gasped,"You're bleeding!"
Marie, not taking anymore time, ran as quickly as she could out of there, wrapping an arm around her bleeding wound. She opened her eyes, her smile gone and her face determined. She was heading into an alleyway nearby. 'The curse is acting up. He's nearby. What is he up to, if he is here? Could he be...' She had gotten into the alleyway, and leanign herself against a wall. She quickly lifted her shirt and, while creating a ball of fire in hand, slammed it over her wound. The wound was all the way across her torso, of her belly range. The blade that cut her there was not deep enough to kill her, but it was not meant to. Upon the blade was a curse placed. All those who are cut with the dark snake blade gain this curse.
One cannot use magic regularly. When to much magic is used, or the curse is activated by its maker, the wound will begin to open and, not only shall a person bleed from there, but if taking too long they will begin to cough up blood. There are only three ways to stop this. 1)Cure yourself, which no one knows how to. 2)Just hope the creator unactivates it. 3)Catch the wound on fire. The third is what Marie did, for it is the easiest for her to do. And besides, she would never ask that man for help. She now waited, breathing hard and sweating. She took off her jacket, and then her shirt. She then went itno her purse, pulling out another shirt. "Good thing I learned to bring an extra shirt, and to wear black." But, she did not place it on yet. She hid her things behind a trash can. She need to find him, but she didn't need to be spotted either.
Marie stripped, making sure to hid herself behind a dumpster. When finished, she wrapped her arms tightly around her, closing her eyes. She shifted her self, shrinking smaller and smaller. Wings shot out of her back, and her ears grew pointy. Her sweat changed to a dust-like substance, and her eyes swirled blues and purples. Her glasses lay infront of her now. She was a fey. She only chose this form, knowing that only some people would be able to see her.

"What happened?" Diamond asked the girl working the register.
"I-I dont know, she just started bleeding and left."
"Thats odd..." Diamond said quietly and glanced out the window befoer going back to her work, thinking on something.
It was only two and a half years ago, that Diamond woke up in a hayloft in a barn with no memory of who she was. The only clue she had to who she was was a deck of cards she found in her pocket with the name Diamond Sterling written on the rubber band that held the deck together. Ever since that day, Diamond had wandered from town to town, staying no longer than a month at each place. What she was looking for, she herself didnt quite know.
Not knowing who she was really frightened her, but Diamond told nobody of this. It was her problem, her secret, and she would keep it that way.

Rein glanced around. 'She was...bleeding...' he thought. He was out in that area, though. He looked at the glove on his right hand, and the mark shone through it bright, he quickly covered it with his left hand as to not attract attention. Soon, he began his shift again, getting back in his uniform, he cooked more of the orders that came in. "Order up!" he said every time he finished one. Pain soon began to travel up through his right arm. 'What's...happening' he wondered as he took a small break for there were no more orders to fill, he once again noticed that it shone brightly through the glove. 'Why do I wear the glove if it shines through?' he wondered. As the pain increased, he tried to force it down as another order was posted. After filling it out, his arm began to shake holding it back wasn't going to cut it anymore...
'I'ma have to go one-handed then...' he thought.
