My mom died years ago and Mother's Day is a sad day for me. I was wondering if there was anyone else out there who did not have a mom to celebrate it with.
I got some stuff from my Grandma and I really love her, but I do miss my mom a lot. A friend of mine told me that she doesn't celebrate because her mother never tells the truth and steals from her family. She hasn't talked to her mom in 2 years. Sad, but true.

That really sucks. *huggles Bored* I spent my first Mothers Day away from my mum working though I made sure I rang her in the morning and sent her a present. It was upsetting for me because it ade me realised all over again how much I miss her. I know it isnt the same as what you go through Bored but I can empathize.

It doesn't bother me when people talk about Mother's Day or spending time with their mom's around me. I think it's really cool when people can have a wonderful relationship with her their family.
I really do miss my mom because she was the only parent I had. The only father that counts in my book is my step dad. He was always looking out for me. He ran down the hall of my school and rushed my allergy medicine to me, went to school plays, soft ball games, and more. He was the father I never had.
It's great to spend time with your parents. I know people get tired of them and want them to leave them alone, but I say spend as much time with them as you can.
Right now Harumichan and I are upset because our grandma's kidneys are getting worse and worse. She was told by her insurance company that they would not pay for the procedure. The family wants to give her the money for the surgery, but she will not except it. My grandma means the world to us.
Des and Reia, I hope that the two of you get to have many wonderful years with your Families. Reia, do not try to avoid the subject when it comes to your friend's mom. For a lot of us it's very nice to talk about our moms. Now when I look back I realize that I got my goofy side from my mom.
Sorry that this is so long.

I lost my mom when I was in Kindergarden (is it with a d or a t?). Right before my birthday and right after my nephew was born. I have no memories of her though. I think grief blocked all of my childhood memories, because I can't remember anything before the Valentine's Day, 1999, (Mom died that month) and when I first saw my nephew.
