It was well past midnight and Jump city was overcast blocking any star light as Red X limped into a almost empty bar.

He had just managed to escape his horrible home life, and was covered with hidden bruises and a cut on his lip and a black eye. He pulled his mask down over his face to be sure no one could see, him, the master theif like this.

Settling himself stiffly at a bar stool groaned and rested his head against a cold glass of Sake.

The bar tender didn't seem to care who he was, or why he was there, and Red X liked it that way he didn't want anyone to see him like this.

"huh" he let out a low moan as he rocked the glass over his forhead, the coolness of the drink seeped into his mask and lessened the throbbing in his head.

(hooray someone to role play with biggrin )

Red X pushed his mask up above his face a little so he could sip the cold sake. It felt so good and cool running down his throat, soothing his ragged vocal cords sore from shouting and screaming earlier.

"ugh, wish this drink would numb my throat," Red X mumbled to himself and cast a quick glance around trying to be sure he was alone or at least no one he knew was sneaking up on him.

"oh no?" he whispered and slipped his mask back down over his mouth and clutched his sweaty drinking glass. What in Jump City was that girl doing here...what was her name again? was she super girl? Red X wasn't sure but her outfit made him pretty sure she was a hero.

"maybe, i'll get lucky and she won't notice me," he silently hoped but knew it was foolish hope.

big hot sticky sweat drops began trickleing down the back of Red x's neck. was this super hero girl on to him, he was sure of it, he coughed quietly and then groaned he forgot how sore his throat was, and quickly pushed his mask up and sipped on his sake.
The master theif was feeling so weak and nervous his hands were shakeing. He took a few slow breaths to try and settle his nerves.

"Why am I staying here?" Red X complained to himself, "I should jsut get up and leave, and she probly won't stop me," he quietly thought, and pressed the pams of his hands against the bar counter and strained to press himself up on his feet. The pain that rippled through his muscles was terrible, he had been sitting so still. and before he knew it Red X legs had gave out on him and he fell dow on the floor bringing the bar still with him.

"W-whats it to you what i've been d-doing," he said gritting his teeth and pulling himself back up on the bar stool.

Gingerly he sat back down and tried to keep himself composed and looking strong and confident as ever but this fight against the normal reaction to pain in the body was not making ths game any easier to play.

"I coul ask you the same thing, and you wouldn't want to answer me," Red X mumbled and let out a tired sigh. somewhere inside he really would like to confide to a safe person what had happened that night.

Red x raised an eye at her with curiosty, and he heald his stomach as it lurched, "arrest me?" he felt his body want to run but why bother after all where would he go.

"If I told you what I have been doing tonight..." X paused holding back the fear that he felt to possibley admiting anything to anyone about himself, "if i told you...would you continue to not let me be your villian?"

He almost wanted to hold his breath as he watched a wisp of wondergirls black hair slip from behind her ear and waited for the heroine to respond to his request.

swallowing the growing lump in his throat Red X started feeling his breath fall short with the stress of being truthful.
he felt his chest rise and fall quicker, and he slowly turned in his chair to face wondergirl.

"this, was what, i was doing tonight," slowly he took the bottom of his shirt and lifted it up over his chest to reveal deep dark purples bruises running up and down all over. he shuddered and pulled his shirt back down and feeling shame took another drink.

"complements of my mother," he let out a deep sigh.

Red X scowled at wondergirl for giggleing,
"you wouldn't laugh if you knew my mother," the thief scowled, and rubbed his sore arm.
" and this isn't a one time thing, she's done this before,
its just what she does, there doesn't have to be a reason," Red X grumbled feeling angry at life.

"i guess its the price you pay for haveing a catburgler as your mother," X glumly figured and took his cold cup and heald it back up to his forhead, wondering if he should mention who his mother was, it might bring a better understanding for Wondergirl.

It was a question that still made Red X want to cringe, and he hunched up his shoulders and sat his glass back on the counter.

"my mom...is...is" Red X still hated haveing to admit it, "my mom is Catwoman of Gotham city also known as selina kyal." X let out a sigh of relief, at least that was out in the open, "I don't really know who my dad is, she said it was an out of wed lock deal, she calls me her thing for kicks, that i was just some fling from an old flame or something," X grumbled and angrily shot one of his red X's at a dart board in the bar that hung on a side wall.

"and even if i wanted to get away from her, she's a thief too so she can always manage to find me, and have her "fun" as she calls it, with me."

some how it felt good to Red X to finally admit all this to someone who seemed to actualy care.
