Did anyone else see this odd, non-nonsensical, uneven, yet oddly entertaining movie?

It was like "Days of Our Lives" meets "Saturday Night Fever" meets "Alien" meets "Batman & Robin."

I was stunned and how weird it was and was disappointed at how thematically uneven it was after the wonderful, character driven, Spider-Man 2. It contained one contrivance after another. Right down to a Deus ex Machina of "guffawing" proportions.

I was entertained by the audience, though. As it was definitely one of my most "MST3k" experiences in a theater. People were riffing on it like it was asking for it. Good times.

As ridiculously gratuitous as the excessive "skyboarding" scenes were, I actually enjoyed them.

Topher Grace would have made such a better Peter Parker.

James Franco still can't act.

Venom died like a b***h. I was disappointed. Also: No Carnage.

I liked them, as well. The first fight between Peter and Harry was the best, and the most character driven. It was probably the high-point of the movie.

Grace is Peter Parker and Spider-Man. The sarcasm, the innocence, the look, everything. He was pretty much born to play Parker. Raimi really blew this casting.

Don't get me started. rofl

Venom was unnecessary. Setting up the black suit and Venon just took up too much time (that and the dancing sequence rolleyes .) He really needs a whole movie to himself to explain the complicated back story. Believe it or not, a meteor falling from the sky right next to Peter is, well, incredibly unsatisfying (and stupid.)

Long ago, when I liked comics and such, I thought Venom was quite the badass, as did most any other comic book fan.

I didn't figure they could do him justice.

I was right.

Glad I didn't waste my buck$.

I saw it again (for free) because everyone kept nagging me to give it another chance. It was worse the second time around because all of jokes got stale. The only redeeming quality is the "How's the Pie?" moment. Terrible, terrible, terrible movie.
