o_o Ax! Probably one of my favorite characters because of his randomness and oh-so love the conflict he had near the end of the series. x] Just made him even more awesome.
So..

I LUFF Ax. Though I did think he was a bit OOC in the last few books.
I know, everyone's like..."Um, how can an author take their own character out of character?" but he was. I mean it.

It seemed more to me like she was trying to focus on an aspect of Ax that she wasn't really able to focus on before because he wasn't a conflicted. He did do the kind of stuff that he did before, like he did in book 38 when Estrid and the other Andalites showed up. Ax is bound to his duty and even though he's lived with humans for three years, he's lived much longer with the Andalites.
So.. in a way, I thought the way he acted did make sense. He was seeing the humans fall apart and they also gave up the morphing cube, something his brother, who he idolized, gave to them. If something like that happened to me, I would also be very angry at the people who did it, even if I had worked with them for a long time.

I guess.
I just zeroed in on the fact that Ax stopped thinking of Jake as Prince Jake, even though he still called him that. It just annoyed me is all. *Hasn't read the last few books in a very long time now* I just hated the whole ending, I guess.

He is my 2nd fav character
My favorite part was when he wouldn't put his shirt on cuz:
"the men on The Young and the Restless don't wear shirts, and I am young, and occasionally restless"
That part is soo funny

Either that or # 28...GAH! I'd look, but I'm not in town 'til next Wed, which means I can't look! *Cries*
I also loved in book #8 when Ax talks with Marco's dad.
The whole "What's your name?"
"No."
"It's No?"
"Yes."
"Isn't that a strange name?"
"No."
"It's not?"
"Yes."
"Marco. Um, Marco. Your friend. Your friend, um, No is here."
It was freakin' HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!

I always thought Ax was an awesome character. In the books where he wanted to be loyal to the Andalites when they came across them, I always found myself getting mad at the other Animorphs for getting mad at Ax.
I was always like, "Hey! He was raised with Andalite values! Give him a break! Wouldn't you do the same in his situation?" stressed

True, but when has the human race been understanding of other people's values?
Oh, I loved Ax in book #9, when Cassie, a skunk at the time, sprayed Homer. It was like:
Ax said calmly.
"Take me with you," Marco muttered.
I nearly fell out of my seat laughing. Granted, at the time I was sitting in a classroom I have squat to do in, so it might have looked a bit odd.
Oh, and I did that without even using the book. HA!

Agreement with both of you. xD When have humans really been tolerant of each other? I love how she had so many themes in her books..
And ahahah!
..I don't remember that scene at all. Probably because I haven't read that one as often as some of the others. o.o;
There's a huge difference between Ax and the rest on how much he trusts them. Remember #28? When he was about to get slaughtered? He didn't even try to get out because he trusted that the other Animorphs would get there in time. o_O Something like that at least xD

I love Ax. XD Well, I do now, at least.
I couldn't stand him when I first read the books. I think I was a bit too immature at the time to really understand his conflicts...
Also, his funny scenes used to embaress me. I know it's weird, being embaressed by something you read, but that's the only way I can describe how I felt back then when I read about Ax. I considered him an embaressing character. Maybe it's because I was teased so much about reading Animorphs back then, so I thought that if everyone found out that the series had such a weird character, they'd tease me even more. I dunno.
Now, however, upon my recent re-reading of the books, I absolutely love him. His conflicts are interesting, his funny scenes are actually funny, and he's just all around cool.

My favorite moment with Ax is in book 14:The Unknown,when he tells the rest of the Animorphers what the humans at the Air Force base - Zone Ninety-One are really guarding,that was hillarious!

YES! Just re-read that one! Loved Marco going, "They're guarding an Andalit Port-a-John?"
Not an exact quote mind you, but definately loved that scene.
I also realized that I think it's absolutely hilarious when Ax eats the giant bun and the plate in #17 The Underground, I think, and Rachel describes it as watching a python try to swallow a small pig.
It was just so funny.

I love Ax!! He's so adorable...and I love how he goes berserk every time he's around food. It's funny how arrogant he can be sometimes too.
I thought #8 was really good, how it showed him and the Animorphs coming to be friends, and that he realized that he had to go against his own people to help save the humans.
