Many Christian based guilds have bashed and kicked me out because of my beliefs. I am a huge fan of paranormal stuff, I study it and live to fight it. For the creation of the universe. The bible says God created the universe in 7 years, Which to God is 7,000 years. I think, God created the universe and let it set its' course. Want proof? Well, think, did God just put that tree infront of your house? A seed made by time and matter did its course, who created that matter? God! As for free speech, I dont believe in the church being a power, its bull and thats why I dont like Catholic Beliefs. They want power, and they dont preach the word of the Lord right. They shove it, and dont tell you how to use it. As for the church I come from, we preach the word of the Lord and show how the bible is with us during everyday life! Thats the right way...
What do you guys think?

Well, I have my problems with your theory, but it is mostly understanding, because you mix different things up... Well, it is said, that God needed 7 days, not 7 years. xd Err, wouldn't it be more "logical" to say that 7,000 years are to god like 7 days? And sorry, the tree in front of your house is no proof. If have no problem with your theory, but it is no proof. wink The church is a power, if you believe it or not, that's a fact. Many churches have a lots of influence, also the Roman-Catholic. If they preach the word of the Lord right or not, well, I am also not feeling all too well with some of their uttering, but please choose another formulation, because this reminds me too badly of Right-Wing-Christians like here: www.chick.com I must admit I have grown highly allergic to such things... Quote: As for the church I come from, we preach the word of the Lord and show how the bible is with us during everyday life! Could you specify this, please? I am not sure if I understand it. Oh, and define paranormal stuff, please, it could include everything from channeling, UFOs and naked witches to speaking unicorns... xd

I think that you and your church have some growing up to do if you think there is a "right way" to learn about the Bible. I think that you might have an interesting theory, but it needs refined. What you're theory says to me is God made the universe and then let it go. That's like making a cake, putting it in the oven and then walking off. If you don't believe God have intervened in the development of this world, you need to read the Bible again. While I'll admit that it's possible that all the stories in the bible might not be true, but the most important story, the one on which your faith is bases, presuming you ARE a Christian since you are in a Christian guild, is a story of God directly interfering with the development of the world by sending his only son. If you think the church isn't a power, read up on your history of western civilization. The church has always been a power since it's birth. And yes, it was 7 days, not 7 years.

(On Cadiya's point, 'Last Rites' is a nice anti-Catholic one. ^^) Ok. The Catholic thing hurt. But the theory I've no problem with. Because, as a Catholic, I don't believe in the creationalist idea of the world generated in 7 days, although I do believe the story has its relevance and meaning. I think it makes God all that bit cooler if He did it all in an instant and let go, in that from one single, magnificant push, the whole world came, synchronised, into being - not that He doesn't check up on us or anything, because He's our Ulitmate Parent. And the Church, as I'm seeing it, refers to all those in some degree of communion with Christ. Denying a Church (whether you see it as headed by the Vatican or not) denies Christ's talk of there being a Church.

So, for a new start, tell us a little bit more about the paranormal stuff... ^_^ I am interested in what you believe... Quote: Oh, and define paranormal stuff, please, it could include everything from channeling, UFOs and naked witches to speaking unicorns...

LRD_nick Many Christian based guilds have bashed and kicked me out because of my beliefs. I am a huge fan of paranormal stuff, I study it and live to fight it. For the creation of the universe. The bible says God created the universe in 7 years, Which to God is 7,000 years. I think, God created the universe and let it set its' course. I agree that the idea is plausible. 2 Peter 3:8 "But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day." Quote: Want proof? Well, think, did God just put that tree infront of your house? A seed made by time and matter did its course, who created that matter? God! This does not prove anything. o.0 Quote: As for free speech, I dont believe in the church being a power, its bull and thats why I dont like Catholic Beliefs. I think you are needlessly confrontational to Catholics. The Catholic Church most certainly a power, and could start war or keep peace if it wished. It can influence various governments decisions as well as the votes of the people in democratic nations.

By the way: What is a true Christian? What is the right meaning of the Bible? Isn't any definition made by us humans to answer those questions doomed to fail, since man is not a perfect creature but a faulty one making loads of mistakes? And doesn't dividing people into true Christians and fake Christians bring us very close to sin, because only God really knows while we are only able to interprete the Bible?
I'm just asking... sweatdrop

I don't really understand what you're getting at here. There really is no right way to praise God. And what does the paranormal have to do with any of this? Religion is a part of the First Amendment because you have a right to express your faith. It would be like forcing a Muslim to remove their head scarf (I'm not sure what it's called. sweatdrop ) or not allowing the bible or any other religious work to be read in public. I'm pretty sure that's how it would work, correct me if I'm wrong.

you've got almost the same theory as me! problem i see: it was 7 days not 7 years. we dont know how long one of god's days was,for all we know it could have been millions of years! which explains evolution. but i believe that god is still here helping out the earth and for things to go as planned. and i dont like religion getting into politics because it takes away freedom.we should be free to express religion,we just shouldint use it to govern our country.
