Dreams
The thought of life without you,
Keeps me awake at night.
I don’t ever want to loose you,
The thought of it is frightening.
In my dreams we take,
Long walks on the beach.
Each wave of the tide,
Bringing water to our feet.
Until we stop and we talk,
About our lives in the past week.
Then along comes an everlasting silence,
As I look into your eyes.
And as I lean over to give you a kiss,
It all fades away like a calm blowing mist.
And as I open my eyes the beach is gone.
And the calm running water is gone.
And you are gone.
All that is left is my room,
And so I wish to sleep again,
And so I wish to dream again.
