Rules
- This is, as previously stated in the title, a Harry Potter RP. It takes place during the sixth book, from a different perspective – the Ministry’s!
- In this RP, you can choose to be good, or you can choose to be working for the Dark Lord. However – you cannot be both. In your PM, Title it with which side you are on. If you are siding with the Ministry, your PM will be titled “Get rid of the mayonnaise.” If you are siding with Lord Voldemort, title it “Extra Mayo.” ALL OF YOUR CHARACTERS WILL BE OF THE SAME FACTION, so choose wisely. The exception to this is RCF Crew Members, because we don’t all want to be evil, but we will know who is evil anyway, so we’ll play both sides and try to keep the number of good and evil at an even number.
- Even though they are from the same faction, they don’t have to be from the same ministry department. You can apply to be a department chair. The Department Chair is the boss, and he or she is in charge of handing out missions and making sure the job gets done correctly. He or she can also PM RCF to have other characters fired, however we will be choosy about this.
- There is a character limit of 5, with the exception of Crew members who will be playing NPCs . However, this is only 5 at one time. If one of your characters has been jailed, killed or fired, you may pick up another one.
- You are allowed to play canon characters, such as Arthur Weasley or Amos Diggory. However, they are included in the character limit.
- People who work for Voldemort will be in contact with eachother and might just receive a special assignment from him via PM. Death Eaters are not allowed to tell good guys that they are Death Eaters in PMs. They are allowed to in the RP, to threaten them, or whatever. However, remember that doing this will let the players know that all of your characters are evil, so do it at the risk of losing mysteriousness. In-character however, the characters still will not know. And they are not allowed to unless told IC-ly.
- However, in-character, anybody can accuse anybody else of being a Death Eater, regardless of faction. It’s kinda like a witch hunt. Send accusations to Roxas Can Fly! and Rufus will send the aurors in to get the accused and bring them to trial by Wizengamot.
- Remember, have at least circumstantial evidence to accuse people or else eyes will turn on you.
- If your Death Eater is caught by the ministry and found guilty by the Wizengamot, your character is allowed to give out names for a lesser sentence, however, the names may only belong to characters that you play unless given consent by another player and they contact us telling us that it’s okay. If all of your characters die or are found guilty and sent to Azkaban, you are allowed to start over with new characters and possibly a new faction.
- Players with characters in the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures will sometimes be assigned on missions into other subforum RPs – namely, the Pet Shop of Horrors one.
