Three republican presidential candidates (Brownback, Tancredo and Huckabee) don't believe in evolution...

I'm scared for the US...

From what I understand, none of them stand a chance except Giuliani and, more recently, apparently Ron Paul.

So, this isn't immediately any more distressing to me than meeting some random idiot on the street.

To be fair, I don't believe in evolution, either. But it's pretty clear what they mean by the condescending wording they use. The evidence for evolution is there and it's readily available. It's not like a group of scientists keep it hidden of anything.

Science doesn't keep it hidden, but apparently they've been told that if they *gasp* actually look at the evidence, they're going to spend an eternity in HELL!

Meanwhile, their churches also apparently make sure they're just too stupid to understand even the definition of evolution.

Hurrrrrrr.

Who cares if they don't believe in evolution if none of them have a chance in hell of winning?

Besides, Brownback is a tool. Only the craziest of the crazies would vote for him.

I'm not so much worried that any of them will get many votes as I am appalled that they were even nominated in the first place.

Seems like it's foolish nowadays to believe that America will ever learn from its mistakes (i.e. re-electing King George II of Texas).

I'd be willing to bet at least one of the candidates not only disbelieves the prospect of evolution, but also the existence of radio waves and cancer.

I have a gut feeling that a great deal of politicos say they believe in the literal interpretation of the bible just to get the votes. It would be a complete misstep from a political standpoint to not say you believe in the literal interpretation of the bible. This is pretty much why I hate politics as a whole.
