So, I saw this is a signature recently.
Rumors state that Nightwish is no longer using their female singer.
Is this true? I would be really saddened. I just started listening to them and I think they're absolutely amazing.

Yes it is true. Tarja was kicked out after the American tour with a rather nasty letter. She had complained that they didn't make much money on the American tour and Tomas (I know I didn't spell his name correctly) was very upset over this, because Tomas cares more about the fans and the music, not so much the money. I'm glad they got to come to America, because I was able to ask Tomas my question and hug him! 4laugh heart He was very flattered by my question because I was a native American English speaker asking him how he composed the lyrics for his music.

Wow that sucks. Nightwish only stood out because of her. Shoot she was the show, but I guess that's the music world... There arn't to many odditys in music anymore that really stand out, but the few that do sure seem to suffer.

Tumoas (sp?) was and is the heart and back bone of the band though. He composes all the music and lyrics. I know another Finish band I love called 'Lordi' frequently has a change of pianist and guitarist here and there. I love there music still all the same. 'The Devil is a Loser', 'Would you Love a Monsterman', 'Bloodred Sandman,' lots of good songs I recommend. But heck don't take just my word on it.

{{.whaaa~ they don't have the lady singer anymore? i really liked her voice too. . .drat. The guy who wrote the lyrics is still there though. and the rest of the band. I am sure that their music will be just as good as it was. Heck they might even find someone with a better voice :].}}

They were having tryouts for a new singer I think in 2006. Anyone of the right age and of any singing skill could enter. I was going to but all my home base support was against me in entering. Hana I don't know if you recall who L.B. (Little Ben) is but he was saying I didn't have the skill. And he and I had known each other since grade school and friends are suppose to support one another. *Shrugs* Ah me, ah well, I had a falling out with him anyway.

Thats really sucks. I think a female voice adds a really cool element to rock music like that.

They got a new singer now, just that when they didn't they had open try outs to anyone who wanted to try.
