This is probably one of my favorite manga series of all time. But I have lots of favorites when it comes to manga.
mrgreen
Currently there's 16 of 23 volumes out in America (where I am found maniacally running about) And I have all 16 of them. Ok, technically they are mostly Aki Yasu's, but we kind of have joint ownership since we've each bought different volumes but between us have the whole series...but anyway!
It's an awesome little story, and for those who aren't familiar with it, it revolves around a family cursed by the animals of the Chinese Zodiac legend, and the one girl who gets close enough to know them and their secret without having her memories erased. It's qualified as Romantic Comedy, but there are some rather dark, dramatic elements to it as well, which to me only make the series deeper and more enjoyable.
In fact, the sole reason why I haven't included the anime in this thread is because they took a lot of that darker stuff out, and consequently a good chunk of the plot. It's rather unfinished, and was made more into a comedy series. Not that I don't enjoy the anime, I'm just so much more passionate about the manga.
Natsuki Takaya-sensei rocks!
cool heart
So, anyway, who here's a Furuba fan? I've read all that's out thus far(American wise, mind you) and I know a bunch in terms of spoilers(up until the very last chapters!) thanks to a guild my other character, Miko-chan is in! Questions? Comments? Fruits Basket rants? Share 'em here! I'm an avid fan and could probably go on for hours, if given half the chance!
biggrin
