A heavy tabby cat stands, stretches and yawns as you approach the stoop where it was laying. He looks at you, apparently annoyed at your disturbing his nap. Before you can get very close, though, he heads in through a small flap in the bottom of the front door of the large stone building he was sleeping in front of: Aschere's Exotic Menagerie is carved into the door.
Inside it seems there are more animals permitted to roam free than there are actually in cages. Several cats rest on the counter and a large, colorful bird sits on a swing that hangs from the ceiling in the middle of the room. There are shelves of food and supplies and stacks of cages - of which only around 2/3 have animals in them. Your entrance prompts a chorus of yipping, squawking and mewing, which calls the attention of a short, thin and lackadaisical-looking young human with lazy brown hair. He steps up to the counter and scratches one of the kittens behind the ears."Hey. Welcome to The Exotic Menagerie. If there's anything I can help you with, let me know! Uh...watch out, everything on that wall is poisonous."

COMMON STOCK SPECIES PuddingLEVEL One BONUS +5 hp PRICE 3 Sapphire Gems Round, gelatinous and positively adorable, puddings are a popular pet and flourish in marshy, wet areas. With the invasion of civilization, this means that feral puddings can often be found in the sewers. When tamed and kept hydrated, they’re affectionate and mildly intelligent pets, but owners must be diligent as puddings will eat anything. Anything at all. Luckily they’re kind of see-through so it’s easy to tell when they’ve ingested something that’s not actually food. Puddings come in a variety of pastel shades, the most common being purple. They’re about 1 ½ feet all around. SPECIES Lepia LEVEL One BONUS +1 melee PRICE 3 Sapphire Gems A very shaggy looking creature, this rabbit is about the size of a small dog and it behaves like one, too. Lepia are very protective of their owners and if not properly trained they have a tendency to attack anyone who gets too close and run around biting ankles. Lepia are very curious and often get into things they shouldn’t be, especially when they’re lonely. They’re very fashionable pets for little girls to have, especially since Lepia are very cute and often colored bright white, though they also come in other rabbit-like colors and patterns. SPECIES BreezeLEVEL One BONUS +1 ranged PRICE 3 Sapphire Gems Breezes are a little more uncommon as household pets and tend to be classified as exotic. They look like puffy white or pale blue clouds that have a consistency like cotton, but can slip out of your grasp quite easily. This makes them hard to keep as pets unless a strong bond with the owner is forged very early on. Breezes are very smart and playful and can be demanding if they feel ignored. By nature they’re rather shy around strangers, and the places they can hide in your living room are endless. A well trained Breeze is an asset to a ranged fighter, as they will zoom along with the projectile and help it strike true. SPECIES BumblebearLEVEL One BONUS +1 magic PRICE 3 Sapphire Gems Bumblebears are particularly abundant in the Grasslands where they can be found playing in tall grassy fields and wrestling with each other mid-air. Roughly the size of a rabbit, Bumblebears are small bears with bee wings that leave trails of sparkly dust on anything they touch. With a ravenous appetite for vegetation, Bumblebears have been known to lay waste to fields in a locust-like fashion. Strangely enough the fields always appear fully intact once again come daybreak and the only evidence that Bumblebears have been through is the silvery tinge of all the regrown plantlife. Though researchers are baffled as to how this occurs, they all seem to agree that the presence of Bumblebears helps people focus and increase their magical abilities.

RARE STOCK SPECIES Cricket LEVEL One BONUS +1 magic PRICE 5 Sapphire Gems STATUS 3/3 in stock Well hidden in the tall grasses of the Grasslands, it is said if you can catch a cricket and keep it caged, it will bring good luck to you. These small insects are far more rare in Aludra than they are in our world, though they appear to be quite similar aside from having an opalescent sheen to them. As long as they are kept well-fed, crickets seem to be well-tempered pets. For those seeking a battle aide, cricket singing is said to have an amplifying effect when magic is present. It is also said to be a sign of impending rainfall.

OTHER SERVICES
Just as characters can advance, so can Fido. For a small fee, the pet store can buff your pet up so their battle bonus is on par with other pets of that level. For example, a Level 2 Pudding gives a +10 HP Bonus just as a Level 2 Squeaker does. The cost for this service is as follows: COST Level 1 -> Level 2: 3 Sapphire Gems Level 2 -> Level 3: 6 Sapphire Gems
Please note that while a pet may be a lower level than the rank of the character it accompanies into battle, it may not be a higher level.

TECHNICAL DETAILS Only one pet may accompany a character into battle.
A pet should not be discarded simply because a new pet has been purchased. They should be treated as you would a real pet. If you no longer wish to keep your pet, it is possible to gift an old pet to another player, but please roleplay this out.
While a pet may be a lower level than the rank of the character it accompanies into battle, it may not be a higher level. A pet that is a higher level than a character will be unruly and likely run away.

Order Species: Bumble bear Pet Name: Pears, due to the fact this little creature loves pears =D Recipient: Ragweed of Oruliha Other Service: No Cost: 3 sapphire gems. (1 sapphire gem + 2 sapphire gem discount coupon) Ragweed smiled as he opened the door to the shop, a small bell ringing as he came through alerting whomever owned the shop that they had a new customer.
Ragweed was here to get himself a companion that would keep him company while he stayed in the city. He was tired of having to go all the way out of town just to see a bit of wildlife then trudge back into the town again. So he had come here on recommendation from another Muscheron in the guild who had been carrying his own fluffy rabbit like creature that Ragweed could now see in a large cage labeled "Lepia". However most of the creatures in the shop weren't actually in cages... A snake was coiled comfortably around a battered old hat stand by the door and a large shaggy dogs barked happily rushing over to Ragweed from it's basket knocking the poor little Muscheron over and licking his face in frantic excitement.
When Ragweed got back to his feet, the dog pulled off him by the apologetic shopkeeper he decided to look for some more exotic pets, must of which seemed to be kept in cages due to the fact some looked rather dangerous. He peered inquisitively into a glass tank; the back wall of it had been painted sky blue and small cloud like creatures were drifting lazily around blinking their little blue eyes. Ragweed smiled at their cuteness but the "Breeze's" ,as their label named them, were slightly too cute for his tastes...
Another large cage that was humming quietly caught his interest. Plants filled the majority of the space and bits of leaves and twigs poked through the bars and within the vegetation Ragweed could spy three shapes munching on the plants. He lent forwards to get a closer look and one of the creatures darted to the front of the cage hovering infront of Ragweed's eyes.
The creature was like a miniature version of the dire bears found in the woods near Oruliha, except unlike the dire bears they didn't seem like vicious man eaters and they had small bee like wings on their backs. The one who had come forwards hooked its small claws onto the bars of the cage and poked it's quivering nose through the gap sniffing Ragweed.
Ragweed grinned widely and dug around in his pocket pulling out a rather bruised and partially squashed pear. The creature livened up when it smelt the fruit and buzzed happily as Ragweed fed it a lump of the pear.
"Excuse me!" he called out to the shopkeeper gesturing him over. "What are these and how much are they?" he asked pushing the rest of the pear through the bars so that the creature could joyfully eat the rest of it.

"That...?" Replied the shopkeep with a charmingly lopsided smile as he glided easily over to the cage. He ran one hand through his dark hair and set the other one on the top of the metal cage. "Well, this little guy is a bumblebear. They're pretty nice creatures - very magical, too, so... three sapphire gems for one."

Ragweed smiled and instantly dived into his pockets ssearching to the gem and coupon that Cleph had given him earlier/the other day [I don't know if the is any rules on how fast you can move time in between scenes but it would make sense if it had been at least a day >w<] when he pulled them out, both of them rather grubby and not neat and clean like when he received them, he held the out to the shopkeeper with a smile saying, "I'll have this one here thanks. The one eating that pear? He has a nice character."
[ It's a little short but I was finding it a little hard to think what to write. ]

"Good choice, man!" Admittedly, the shopkeep felt a bit odd calling someone who looked so young 'man', but he could never tell with Muscherons, so he went with the safe route.
The dark haired clerk carefully lifted the cage and set it on the counter. The bumblebear seemed vaguely bothered by this, and he buzzed loudly, but the disturbance didn't seem great enough to cause him to part with the old peach, which was already almost gone. "Now, he might be a little wiley at first - best to train him indoors so he doesn't fly away."
He went on to explain to Ragweed all the basics of caring for a bumblebear as he moved the little creature into a smaller, more portable cage. Then, pushed the cage toward the Muscheron and took the coupon and gem from his hands. "Any questions?"
