I had a love/hate affair with anime as a kid - the animation was bad and the faces were not drawn well, but the backgrounds were great and the girls usually had beautiful hair.
Now -- storyline is what grabs me, and since I'm out of adolescence, not too dark of a storyline. Horror isn't fun anymore. Miyasaki's Grave of the Fireflies was lovely, but Princess Monoke - so-so.
Back on topic...favorite anime character? Probably the from the first one for girls (or boys?) that I remember -- A-Ko, the super-strong girl and title character of Project A-Ko.

Jeez I have a lot, some are Kai and Rei from Beyblade, Father Able Nightrode from Trinity Blood, Sasuke and Naruto from Naruto, Kenshin and Sanosuke from Rurouni Kenshin, and then there's Ayumu Narumi from Spiral just to name a few! ^_^
I like them all for many a reason! hahaha!

Probably Nana Osaki from "NANA" and Motoko Kusanagi from "Ghost in the Shell"
Nana because I can relate to her and her style.
And both Motoko and Nana because they're such strong female characters.

I like drawing things like this... THIS IS NOT MINE!!!! I'm not very good at it yet, but I'm working on it.... I'm more of a random pretty anime person.. I don't really draw specific people...I like Big hair, beautiful clothes... (works the same in real life too..lol.. )
