The following posts account for what has occurred so far in the RP. I am pulling these from the thread that is (or used to be) in Barton Town.

Hime Suki as Uchiha Itachi The day was just beginning to settle in when a dark haired youth just settled in his bed. He slid the door to his room oh so carefully, making sure not a single noise emanated from the track. Uchiha Itachi. Many saw him as an aspiring ninja, just like his father, they would say. But he did not want to be like his father. He wanted more. So much more.
With the same stealth taught by the very academy he had graduated just a few years ago, he closed the door and toed off his shoes, turning on his heel to peek down the hall outside his door to make sure no one was awake. He didn't want any confrontations about his whereabouts, though he had prepared several excuses if he needed to explain himself. No one. Good. Knowing that made his eyelids feel like they weighed a ton a piece, becoming drowzy.
He laid down, snuggling beneath the covers in a soundless thanks to be unmoving. The sun would be coming up in just a few short hours. Two tops, probably, as the sky had already become lighter than. He hoped that his parents would leave him alone, that there would be nothing for him to do. If so, he would just bribe Sasuke into doing whatever chores his father asked. Put some hairs on his chest, thought Itachi. kaibaboy38 as Uchiha Sasuke Awakening to the soft sound of birds chirping outside his bedroom window, Uchiha Sasuke rose to a sitting position, the covers falling from him as he pushed the raven-colored bangs from his face, revealing two dark, tired eyes. Climbing from his bed, Sasuke stood on unsteady feet, gathering his balance as he glanced across the room, adjusting his eyes to the scene. He came in late last night, staying up to practice at the training grounds for the upcoming Genin Exams, and thus leaving him with a bit of sleep deprivation, but nothing he couldn't work through. Walk it off, Sasuke, he told himself mentally, pulling back the curtains to fill his room with light. Sheilding his face from the initial glare off the windowpane, he gazed into the wide yard that surrounded the Uchiha manor, the one he wouldn't practice in during the night for fear of waking his parents.
Keeping to his own thoughts as he dressed, Sasuke played the events of his late-night training over again in his mind, silently applauding himself on the techniques he mastered, and then critiquing himself on those he did not. He was determined to pass this year, already several years older than his brother, Itachi, was when he graduated, although far above the pace of his classmates, especially a select few. Everyone in his clan had high hopes for him, as most would of a growing member of the Uchiha clan, but they all had even higher expectations of Itachi, called the prodigy of their family, and one of the most talented shinobi to ever come out of Konoha. Their parents, Sasuke thought, favored Itachi over him. Some might attribute this to the natural jealosy felt by the younger sibling of a very prestigious clan, or a mere rivalry between brothers; the fact was, Sasuke looked up to Itachi, regardless of whatever opinions their parents may hold for them.
Strapping on his weapon holsters as he fixed his hair in front of the mirror, Sasuke headed towards the door, sliding it quietly so he wouldn't wake his family, assuming they hadn't already left their rooms. Stepping into the hallway, he walked barefoot from his room to Itachi's, looking in through a small space between his door and the wall to see if he was awake. As far as appearances went, the older Uchiha brother seemed to be asleep, though one could never truly tell with if he was the one in question. I could just let him sleep... he thought, glancing one last time at his brother's form before turning away and looking down the hall towards the main rooms. He could hear voices, which would mean that his parents were up ahead, probably ready to give him even more intense training than what he put himself through the night before, or some menial task that would make practicing his jutsu seem like the more desired choice, chakra-exhausting or not. Also, there was the possibility of one or both knowing that he snuck out at night. But do I really want to face them alone, knowing this? There was strength in numbers, and it was common for the two Uchiha brothers to cover for each other in situations like these, using the theory that by telling their parents that they knew the other was in the house, it would also be securing their own story because of the fact that for one to know this about the other, then he must have been in the house as well.
Going into this with Itachi would have been no cause for worry, but alone Sasuke had a long and grueling punishment to fear, something to consume so much of his time, that only his parents could have possibly thought it up. He wanted to train, hopefully with Itachi, though he was sure the older Uchiha had his own agenda, but this would be impossible with most of Itachi's free time being late at night, and with their parents keeping a closer watch as to their whereabouts. Leaning his back against the wall, the young Uchiha ran his fingers through his silky black hair, deep in thought. Decisions, decisions...Hime Suki as Uchiha Itachi It seemed as though it had only been seconds since he closed his eyes when the sun began to filter through the thin paper of his traditional styled door. The older Uchiha did not bother to open his eyes, or even bother to move. It was too draining at the moment, his arms, hands, legs, feet, and every other limb and muscle on his body seeming to scream at him even through the serene setting he had accomplished. His late night training had, as he recalled been a success; his body told him so. Practicing various forms of jutsus, never settling for just the basics, or JUST knowing something. He would only settle for complete mastery, as many of the members of his family expected.
And wasn't that a joke? Uchiha Itachi, child prodigy and ninja genius. His father thought highly of him, even smiled smally on occasion if the ebony teen did well enough. It was ridiculous, he thought, to have two prodigy sons and only hail one over the other. Sasuke. Little brother. That was the real reason he tried so hard. Maybe it was stupid to do so, but he felt a sort of responsibility towards him, as a brother, as a superior ninja, and as a comrade, soon. It wouldn't be long until he would graduate, and then, maybe, Itachi would have his own title as Jounin. Maybe he would be able to lead his younger brother to countless victories?
Stupid. Silly thoughts, much too far fetched for reality's sake. Itachi was not expected to be a lowly Jounin. Instead, he would take exams and tests for the ANBU squad. Stupid. Pointless.
Expected.
Hearing the soft footsteps of said sibling, Itachi opened his eyes to face the sun. He squinted, frowning displeasedly. He wondered what his younger brother could possibly want so early in the morning. He was even more curious when the raven haired youth did not say anything or enter his room to wake him.
"Despite what rumors may have reached your ears," the Uchiha spoke, "I can't read minds. If you need something, Sasuke, you're going to have to say what it is." He sat up slowly, turning to face his brother, even though he would have rather not. He was sleep deprived with bags under eyes blood shot eyes, lips in a straight emotionless line as he stared expectedly at him. "What is it?" kaibaboy38 as Uchiha Sasuke Hearing his brother's voice from within, Sasuke peeked through the thin space between the door and the wall once more, this time able to see Itachi's form move to a sitting position. "Itachi-san..." He whispered softly, turning to give him a better view of the long hallway that led to the dining room, where he could see his parents eating and talking civilly. Noticing that one had caught sight of him, leading the other to glance in his direction as well, Sasuke ran into Itachi's room, sliding the door closed behind him to escape their looks of scorn. The gaze from his father was a stern one, a common expression to be seen on his face, but it also showed traces of suspicion; either that, or the soon-to-be Genin was becoming paranoid.
He crossed the room, keeping his eyes turned down as he did so, proceeding to sit on the bed beside the older Uchiha. "Brother?" Sasuke's tone was sweet, yet somewhat intimidated; it was the one he used when he needed something from Itachi, along with refering to the famed genius of Konoha in such a childish manner, with an obviously fake smile to project an image of innocence. Shifting his feet uncomfortably, Sasuke looked for the right words to use in order to correctly describe the current situation to his brother, and to say them in a way that wouldn't make him sound too wary of his parents although he felt that, even if he was unsuccessful at getting his point across, Itachi did have a way of seeing through a person's intentions.
"I snuck out last night and went to the training grounds," he began, focusing on his hands, folded together and placed on his lap, as a way of averting his eyes from the older Uchiha. "I wanted to practice my jutsu before the Genin Exams. My fire style is quick and precise, and my taijutsu's decent enough... but I still haven't had any luck with the Sharingan." The clan's bloodline trait had showed up early in his brother, Itachi, who had mastered its techniques at a young age, when he has not even been able to activate it at the age of twelve. "I thought... I would at least start using our family's kekkei genkai before I became a Genin." Swinging his legs back and forth at the edge of the bed, Sasuke sighed calmly, finally able to meet his brother's gaze. "But that's not what I came to you about. The fact is, I think our parents know I've been sneaking out."
Searching the older Uchiha's expression for any sign of a response, although he expected there to be no trace of emotion on his brother's face, Sasuke leaned in closer when he realized the cirlces under his eyes, indicating that Itachi had been out late as well. There was the possibility that he just couldn't sleep, but Sasuke had never known his brother to have trouble, the Sharingan alone giving him a significant amount of strain, not to mention the difficult missions assigned to someone of a higher rank. "It looks to me by your face, brother," he started, lowering his voice so that the conversation between the two of them would be unheard, "That you've been staying out late as well." Hime Suki as Uchiha Itachi Itachi, had he not been so drawn out and bed-headed with the ache to go back to sleep, would have smiled just ever so lightly at his younger brother's antics. The way he fiddled around, never looking at his elder, reeling his tone up to sound 'sweet', as his mother seemed to like to put it. More like spoiled. And currently in trouble, by the looks their parents had shot him, and then Itachi just before the door clicked hurriedly shut. His dark eye loomed over Sasuke, hearing his plea, but not really taking it all in, as he could have guessed what his younger brother was up to from a mile away. Those squinty black eyes of his did not exactly feign something like innocence very well.
"Little Brother," he said turning to face him bringing his hands out from under the covers to ruffle the unruly spikes on his head. "You shouldn't worry about them." The smile faded to a serious look, one many knew as his only expression. "You should only ever worry about yourself and what you want to do. What father expects does not make you who you are." Hooray for big brother speeches. He'd probably get a scowl out of Sasuke for that one. He sighed, knowing what Sasuke truly wanted to hear. "Don't worry because also, I will cover for you. It's what you want to hear, right?"
He might have also wanted to hear Itachi agree, to admit he was doing the same, or at least similar, thing. But, he didn't need to know that. He couldn't have Sasuke knowing for a fact and then have him slip and and tell them. As much as he did trust his younger brother, and as tight lipped as he might have been, he couldn't admit it. Not yet. Eviljinxypoo as Haruno Sakura Sakura opened her eyes slowly, rolling to her side to check her alarm clock. She was awake a full hour too early. Her nerves had been getting the best of her lately, making it nearly impossible to sleep or eat or focus on much of anything. Why exactly was she so nervous? The genin exams were quickly approaching and she was determined not to fail.
There was no doubt that she had the intelligence to pass if the test was based on stratagy, and she was improving every day with her chakra control, but the thought that plagued her was simple; what if the exam was taijutsu?
She sighed and rolled over onto her back. She wouldn't worry. But if she didn't pass, she wouldn't be with Sasuke anymore. Everyone knew that the Uchiha boy would pass the exam with no problem, no matter what the exam covered.
Suddenly springing up onto her feet, she punched her hand into the air.
"I'll do it! No matter what!"
Since she was up early anyway, she figured might as well use the extra time to primp for school. Just because she was over-tired and a mess, didn't mean she had to look it.
