I have been hearing rumers that Cap is not dead and that he is alive healing somewhere in secret. Is that true or is Cap still dead?

Nope Cap is dead. I think you're talking about the thing Ms. Marvel said last month about Cap being alive.
That was actually a trick used to get the New Avengers into a trap so SHIELD could capture them for not Registering.

man, shield are hardcore jerks now.
i wonder how many supporters they really have among comic book readers?
they are not being very nice... New Avengers shouldn't be treated like villains, shield shouldn't be wasting their time with trying to get them to register...

I think he's really dead this time. The owner of the comic shop I go yo believes that the Punisher will "don the mask." I think he may be right after I read an issue of Punisher: War Journal.

I think that the Punisher might do that for a little while just to honor Cap, but I don't think that he will wear the outfit for more than 3 or 4 issues.

they've got pictures of the Punisher in some Red White and Blue fighting Captain Nazi (i guess thats his name).
But I agree its only temporary.

First Cap ain't dead, i kno wut Ms.Marvel said was a lie. But he was killed to easy by a sniper. He faked his death or somebody faked it for him. He is either hiding out with Fury or his being tortued by the Red Skull.

Look in the book. The Sniper DID NOT KILL CAP. The sniper was used to set up the scene so his Girlfriend could plug him in the gut.
I for one hope he stays dead for awhile (cause we all know he's coming back) just so his death can have some kind of meaning.

We are just talking, not arguing. Anyways, Cap didn't just get shot by a sniper in the shoulder he was also shot in the chest multipule times. But I also think that he might be hidding out with Fury.

There is a whole list of super heroes that would die from multiple gun shots to the stomach/chest. So what happened to him isn't quite normal. And getting plugged multiple times....thats just not normal.
