In order to make PB less of a hassle and more efficient for everyone, I'm considering several changes. The following are considerations as to what can/will happen:
Removal of PLE (Panda Letter Economy).
It hasn't been updated in forever, and is just extra, unnecessary work. Removal of Storage System.
Like the PLE, it hasn't been used. Removal of Medicines for illness/sickness.
I have never made any pandas sick, and it just seems useless, extra work. Removal of "Life Levels."
Instead of saving when life levels are full, pandas that grow to adults would be saved. Home size limits.
Saves from the crazy house-building. Also helps keeps things organized.
These are possible changes. Feel free to put forward other ideas and concepts. I was thinking of making a really simplified version of the PB, but I felt that I lot of people spent a lot of money on homes, and they shouldn't be penalized and reduced to the same level as someone who payed less for a home.
Anyway: discuss.

Hmmm...I like all of them except for the last one. I mean look at Freya's house, hers is HUGE does that mean hers is gonna get deleted, and I wanted to have a room for each element for aang. ;D xD

i personally like the PLE. it's very well thought out. *look at mel's order* she ordered a bunch of them before they rose XD. storage is still used sometimes. like keeping unopened letters or something. plus medicine is kept there. unworn items on some v-day pandas. almost all the ones i did that had items ordered were shoved in there unless stated otherwise XD.
Life levels aren't really my thing since i always want to keep mine down and still update Sakura very often and i don't want to pay a bunch of gold to get them down. it feels sort of limiting the amount of updates a panda can get. Sickness is a thing too. because pandas just get pruned now, medicine and stuff seems useless too. though i still feel sorry for the people who bought a lot of medicine XD but no one might've done that. house limits could just leak out of the border but still be limited as you say. but maybe limited to 500x500 but the tag being 400x400 because someone might want to have the big tag in their siggy. but i doubt anyone would be that stupid to put it in their sig with another few images with almost the same dimensions...
pruning is a good way to go. i think you stated somewhere that panda's should be semi-active to be okay and stuff and if they don't care, they don't keep. and a LOT of the v-day ones from 'o6 HAD warning on them. yes i saw XD and no one cared about it.

I'd be sad to see the PLE go, but like you said, it hasnt' been updated in a while. As long as the past items are still available, I don't think I'd object to it too much. Though, another option might be to only have letters once every other month/ every three monthes? Also, if the PLE does go, personally, I'd expect "item updates" like... twice a year, just to add variety like the PLE does with items. I think it would be a good idea to remove the Storage System. There doesn't seem to be a use for it, and it just takes up front page space. Does anybody even have a storage? Edit: Okay, well the storage system is used... slightly, but it's used mainly for the unopened letters, which could just be placed in the space of the large area, as several other shops do [... or that I've seen]. As for items being placed there: the items could just be placed somewhere around the house of the panda, such as I've seen done with somebody's leaf umbrella [though, I'm assuming the owner actualy wanted it like that?] EDIT EDIT: Okay, so I was right when I was initally looking at it, becuase I was going off my memory and thought that Knil meant the separate storages; but then I saw Lily's suggestions, and got mixed up. Extra work it is indeed! I vote removal to spare all the hard work on Knil; anyway, usually illnesses would be for people who hadn't come in a while - what's the use of having their pet get sick, when they probably won't be back? This is the only one that I'm a bit iffy on. I mean, the levels are probably a hassle for Knil Edit: And Lily[/edit], but I think it's one of the aspects that makes Panda Box unique in my opinion. I'd rather have less life levels - like maybe four?, rather than eliminate it. I think having ten life levels is a bit unneccessary though. Edit: [I totally forgot this one XD] I think this is a good idea; the only objection is that it might make a bit more work for updates, because since people can't have large houses, some may want to have a separate house for some of their pandas, which makes another house to update.
Hope the suggestions were helpful~

Oh, It might not be clear, but by storage, I mean the outside one included in - I think - the PLE or Adoption/Breeding post. That extra-extra storage - not inventory. ^^;
@ mid: I think lowering them might be good. And it's not just me updating, it's Lily, too. ^^; But, I like the point Lily made - it might be limiting. And no: no one has a storage. xD
Perhaps special benefits to people who are indeed vets/regulars? Or a one-time price for an infinitely living panda to those who will be dedicated?

Eh, it wasn't a big priority. I just wanna see what you all think.
Mind you, I'm not implementing anything NOW. I expect a decent amount of deciding and talking. And not just this stuff.
Suggestions and other things are welcome (aside from Flatsale/Auction/Raffle ideas. ewe;; )
Oh and, Lily: Houses can spill over the 400x400 frame, as long as they stay within the 500x500. 3nodding

I like Panda Box being complex. But of course, that making it more difficult for the staff, then it shouldn't be. Question though, when they are full grown, are you talking about saving them so they can't be updated anymore? I wouldn't mind the storage being taken away. Most of the panda box users don't have storage and I don't think anyone is planning to get it. I like the whole medicine thing. I mean, it is extra work I guess, but I like it for some reason. Maybe you could make pandas sick more often then never? ;0 I like the idea of actually having to take care of them. But it is extra work. So do what you please. As long as Panda Box is still going nicely, I don't mind. I love this place. 3nodding

Well PB is pretty much an AWSOME shop Knil. It's set up well and organized (for the most part) and we just gotta remove the unused functions....I hope that made sence.

The size issue. Maybe a limit. But like... it would have to be so a big house could fit, but not crazy big or something. I don't know really.... That reminds me..I need to get my house reconstructed to fit better and stuff. x3

Yea, most houses are like that and actually, it's not really a 400x400 space =O. a few pixels are cut off and stuff. i think it looks spiffy though. *is very picky with a few pixels* but some houses look really pretty with very large or very little and stuff. i'm pretty okay with that. ^^;;.
oh that straoge XD. eah, not many people have bought that. it was probly for the old version 2 since the new v.2 has more spots than the old one. well, it looks more and it mas bigger area so it's not really needed since it mattered to the older version if you bought a mass of like, 10 letters, they'd squish in or you'd have to buy storage.

The idea of special benefits and so forth for the dedicated and regulars is a good idea. I think that a period of time [well... not strict, but as a guideline] should be set for who's "dedicated" or a "regular" - so that a random person doesn't come in, and claim to be dedicated, but then... leave after three weeks or something and never come back. I mean, current regulars are obviously not just going to disappear, but as new people start to come into the shop with stuff that we do. An idea for "caring" for pandas, if Invu likes taking care of Pandas, is perhaps "random events" - that are purely RP/active-ness based, and require nothing of actually updating the certs, but are just a way for those of us who like to think of actually caring for the pandas. This of course would still be a bit of work to do, but, I think, substantially less than going through and updating the cert so the panda's sick, and then so the panda's not sick, and so forth. Sort of trailing on, I think the idea of roleplay should be encouraged, as it also encourages activeness in the shop. Having things like the roleplay contest going on now - the one for the guitars- are great ways to encourage people to come, and in the case of the roleplay contest, it gives owner's a chance to get limited items like they receieved during PLE - so you could make a new kind of "PLE" that's more roleplay based? And "random events" for owners to respond to - if they are active, and choose to, as mentioned above with caring for pandas, is also a good idea.

If the person exceeds their inventory limit and has stuff that can be placed somewhere in their house, such as a letter... then you can put the unopened letter in their house.. or tell them not to buy anymore until their letter opens so they can put it in their home?
