the new ones came out Sunday, and I just want to know if anyone else my age still enjoys these games. And if so, discuss the game and how it has changed over the years.

Man, I'd still like Pokemon if it was still not absolutely ludicrous. The first 150/151, sure, good stuff. Makes for an entertaining game, a pretty neat show, and a good franchise. The next 100 after that? They look silly, are superfluous, and make up a bunch of nonsense. A Pokemon stronger than Mewtwo? b***h, please. And I don't know how much more has been added to the series after Gold and Silver. I just figured enough was ENOUGH after that point. Even by little kid standards, it gets absurd.
But yeah, as for Red/Blue and Gold/Silver, I still like to fool around with them sometimes. Good times.

Well, I never really was able to make use of the community aspect of Pokemon, so I only played the original Red, beat it and looped the elite four a couple times, and then gave it back to my cousin, who had originally had me borrow it so he had someone to trade with.
Now, years later, I went out and bought Diamond on opening day because now, thanks to the internet, I can make use of the whole community thing.
Plus, have you seen Piplup? Sure, he already evolved on me, the little s**t, but that much adorableness was worth the $5 less-than-full-price I paid for getting the special first-day Walmart package or whatever. And I hear that hardly any Pokemon show up in the game until after you beat it, so there's no worry about being overwhelmed.
I mean, other than that it's the same ol' thing. Though I kinda like that your rival in this game is actually your friend instead of some a*****e you know, and that his quirk is that he's really, really, really hyper. This has me speculating that he might get involved with this whole time-altering business, of course.
Uh...yeah.
PIPLUP IS CUTE

Ess Tii Eph Yhuu A Pokemon stronger than Mewtwo? Don't be silly. Mewtwo is still king, when raised properly. I thinkAlso, I've almost beaten Diamond. One more badge to go before I can attempt the Pokemon League. I'm far enough to catch the first of the legendary Pokemon. EDIT: And I want a Ditto and Mudkips.

So i herd u liek mudkips!
On ruby I have an army of Torchics thanks to immense luck in getting a female beginner. I breeded bread mated it with a Zangoose. The old man says they don'tlke each other, but every time, I find a new egg with a Torchic that knows scratch growl and slash.

strangely enough I'm playing Diamond atm and I'm half pissed at the makers -.-...
Apparently my "raised" pokemon at level 40-50ish have twice the stats of any pokemon I catch... so all of the GOOD AND NOT UGLY pokemon that I like are weak pieces of crap... IE: Sneasle had 1/3 of the stats of my other pokemon.... -.-... >.>.
