She didn't know where exact she was, and was annoyed, never a good thing with Keket given her already cold personality, she was pacing in front of a theater, not for the movies but honest plays, waiting. Just waiting, whatever or whoever she was waiting on was very late, she was missing the start of the play, and that pissed her off, getting inside while it was happening was never wise. Heals made sharp clicks on the sidewalk going perfectly with the air of annoyance she gave off, it was strong enough people were walking around her instead of telling her to move even. She paused a moment to look up and around, hoping to see a sign or something but not and only going back to pacing.

Methos froze as he came within range of another Immortal, then quickly ducked between two parked cars to see if he could tell where the warning came from. A woman in front of the theatre, petite and thoroughly annoyed -- Keket.
Methos sighed.

As soon as she got the warning all annoyance seemed to disappear, not so much because she pushed it aside as much as she had enough control over her emotions she cut it off going back to her normal colder state and stopping in her steps to calmly stand. It was almost scary just how quickly she could go from seeming like a completely normal, emotion showing, woman to being practically a shell of that. Green eyes almost cat like in color scanned though the air, she did not want to miss the play over something to trivial. Maybe trivial wasn't the right word but it fit the best, maybe she could ask for a rain check, most likely wouldn't work but it was a thought.
She hadn't been paying enough attention to those she didn't consider a threat given someone bumped into her, almost making her lose her balance, she didn't have much to herself after all. That lead to the person, a guy, rudely telling her to 'watch it' and her hissing something at them, whatever it was it had to be good since he paled and quickly left her be, maybe it was the fact it was noticeable she at lest had a gun on her person. Before it hadn't been as noticeable unless someone knew what to look up, but given it was naked in her hand at the moment, though still mostly out of sight at her side, there were other ways to discourage someone out of a fight, not the kindest ways, but it worked all the same.
(I seem to have a thing with long replies, how very odd)

Keket obviously hadn't spotted him, so Methos was faced with two options: sneak away or reveal himself. He still wasn't so sure about Keket's position on headhunting, but he realized that he couldn't make a clean get-away without being seen as he broke into the open...
Shrugging, he straightened so that he could be seen over the car he was using as cover and gave Keket a feeble little wave. His eyes were on her gun hand, however. Whoever had nurtured him in the fuzzy depths of his childhood hadn't raised a fool.

Now that pulled a bored sigh, so it seemed she wasn't going to need to shoot anyone, that was good, she didn't feel like placing nice with cops tonight, she almost felt foolish now, but then it was a safety precaution. With a small nod and a dead smile she put the gun up, somehow there was a holster at the small of her back, it meant she had to cross draw which did slow her down but not by much. It was the best place in the type of dress, which was upon close look really a skirt and corset, she was wearing, unless someone tried to hug her no one would ever know, unless of course she pulled it.
He really wasn't the person she was waiting for that, and that only set her off to be annoyed farther, not that anyone could tell other then maybe a darkening in her eyes. She didn't give any other reaction to him, no hostile or otherwise past putting the gun up.

Methos was hardly a social butterfly in this lifetime. Adam Pierson had been a researcher for the secret society called the Watchers. He had spent his time in library basements with old, musty books. He had played chess and argued history with his old friend Don Salzer for over a dozen years until the other researcher had been killed by the Immortal known as Kalas. He had had poker nights with Joe, and Don, and some of the other research geeks among the Watchers. He had talked philosophy and strategy with Darius within the moss-covered sanctuary of his church. Darius was gone now, too. As was the lovely and fragile, and all too mortal, Alexis.
Since leaving the Watchers he had found himself at odd ends, looking for grounding. He had found that in MacLeod and Joe, but he also knew the look of someone who wanted to be alone. Alone was good. Right now, alone was exactly what he wanted too.
Without acknowledging Keket any further, Methos crossed the street to the other side to give the other Immortal all the room she wanted.

Which was all together almost amusing given that was about the time Luana showed up, but then she was there on purpose unlike him, she was there to meet Keket, a very long time friend. They were different ages sure but had still know each other a few hundred years, well enough that Luana broke out of her normal distant self to flat out hug her friend. It was noticeable that she was honestly smaller, shorter and skinnier, and a lot more emotional despite she was older then Keket. She barely cast a glance to Methos, not sure she cared all that much, he was rather boring, a book worm, she didn't tend to get along with bookworms, sure she was very much a lady and quite at times, but still...

Keket broke into a smile, dismissing Adam's presence to return the hug, for once showing true emotion, happiness, after all it was nice to have a friend that wasn't dead or mortal. She said something fast in german, only proving that she knew Luana well, basically chiding her for not eating enough, being late, and if they should play nice with Adam instead of ignoring him.

She blushed lightly, not use to being chided for much of anything anymore, or use to someone caring enough to bother speak up, but ended up shrugging, "Maybe? Herr Adam doesn't seem to be the outgoing type, it would be best to not scare him."

Best not to scare me? Methos sniffed as he crossed the street. Well, it's always good to know the cover story is working. With Keket, at least. He still wasn't sure what Luana knew or thought she knew about him.
He was tired of hostile, cold females. He missed Alexa. He decided to go home and crank call MacLeod. The Scot would yell, but then he'd laugh. Mac had a warm laugh. Anything to shake the frost off.

"Hmm, how boring for him then..." She paused a moment to smile slightly, "Ditch the play for a club?" After all by now they had most likely missed the first, maybe even the second act.

Luana paused to think on that, neither of them were outfitted exactly for a club, but she was more up for that then the play, or at lest this play, in answer she gave a light grin and went to grab her arm and drag her off, down the street. She at lest knew her way around, it wouldn't do any good to get lost, as it was it wasn't safe for them to wander down a street given neither looked imposing, but she'd deal with that later if the need arose. The direction took them towards Methos, at which she paused a moment with an idea, one that would more than likely get shot down but it was worth a try. "Hey! Adam! Clubbing? You, two chicks, some drinks, some dancing? You seem like you need something past books in your spare time."

Elsewhere in the city...
Johnny was tired of pacing, tired of staring alternately at browning pages and glaring computer monitors... The formula he was researching seemed to be completely out of reach... for the moment, at least.
Lighting a cigarette, he stuck his head out the window... It was nice out tonight, wouldn't need the coat... Of course keeping the sword out of notice would take a little more effort without it, but he'd manage. Leaving his desk a disaster area, he grabbed his weapon, glanced in the mirror next to the door in passing and stepped outside, locking the door behind him. He wasn't certain why he was still in the habit of locking things; anyone who tried to break in would get far more than s/he bargained for anyway.
A night of leisure might be just what he needed to give himself a fresh start... The Oculus Tempus Temporis would definitely be better off waiting for morning anyway. Gods forbid he overlook something crucial in a moment of frustration...
Happily smoking away, Johnny sauntered off down the street, humming an old Joan Jett song and tapping the rhythm on his thighs, thumbs hooked in the pockets of his jeans....

Adam stopped at Luana's words, and for a moment he was 2000 years away...
Flashback: approx. 1 AD, a tiny Greek island in the spring...
Methos was in a panic, but he refused to show it. Kronos could smell weakness, after all. How the leader of the Horsemen had tracked him down after all this time had Methos baffled, and his thoughts were swirling without direction.
Kronos paced. Kronos sneered. He grabbed Methos' pouch of parchments and threw them on the ground. Stomped on them. "I don't care what you think you're doing now, or what you want to do with your life," he growled. "You belong to me, Methos. And you're coming with me if I have to knock down this whole monk house and burn every book in it!"
It was a formidable argument, and one Methos knew Kronos was quite capable of keeping.
Adam blinked as he turned. Books. He probably could use some time away from them. "All right, Luana," he said. "Sounds like fun."

"Best not to scare him mm?" Keket shook her head though seemed slightly amused, she certinally showed more emotions are Luana then anyone else simply because she knew her and trusted her. "This will be different."
