Proffesor Shinwa looked glumly at the silent table.
"Looks like everyone is quiet today.."
...or maybe perhaps they have all gone ?

[ A falcon swooped down and caught a slice of bacon in its talons. It perched itself upon a high arch and bit into the tasty meat. ] ♥

Young Jae took a seat in the Gryffindor table. Looking around, he saw a falcon catch some bacon in its beak. Maybe it was all right to take some food off of the table for pets, seeing as the teacher did it as well. He stroked Sang Ki's furry head, who purred.
"Want some milk, Sang Ki?" he said in Korean. English, Korean, it didn't matter what language he spoke it. She understood him all the same.
Sang Ki just purred again. Young Jae poured milk into a bowl and set it beside him. The cat lapped up the lovely cool beverage.

The Professor looked around and found an asian student sit down on the Gryffindor Table. He must be new... She thought, Glad to know he's in Gryffindor; Shinwa stood up to greet the newcomer and his... pet. "Good Morning, what might your name be?" she asked cheerfully.

Young Jae looked up, smiled, "I'm Young Jae, Professor. Young Jae Park. This is my cat, Sang Ki. And you are Professor of what class?"

The professor took a quick glance at Sang Ki, and replied, "I'm the Care for Magical Creatures Professor." She smiled then added, "Do you like Kimchi?"

"Kimchi?" for a moment, he thought she was talking about her falcon. Then he realized it was the food, "Oh yes! I have a great like for kimchi." he excitedly replied, "Does Hogwarts have kimchi?"

"Not that I know of," she replied grimly. How did the student know the name of her falcon...?

"Oh I see. That's too bad, then, isn't it?" he said, not sounding disappointed at all. Maybe it was because he couldn't expect Hogwarts to have an Asian cuisine. "But it would be great to have some, right, professor?"

"Why, of course..." Shinwa said without emotion, yet the ends of her mouth twitched, "Kimchi is really a classic cuisine that Hogwarts should cater."

"I really like Kimchi," Young Jae skewered a hotdog and placed it on his plate, "But I'd rather try some Western foods, like this... em... weiner, I believe it is called? Or is it frankfurther? It's very, very different from Kimchi." He took a bite out of it, and savored the surprising melted cheese hidden within its core.

"That's a cheese-centered hotdog..." she mumbled, "Sausages from other countries are also catered, why not Kimchi?" she added manner-of-factly
"In any case, I also enjoy the different things that House of Elves offer..."
She eyed the student chowing into his food, and called for her bird to come dine with her. Kii flew from the high-arched ceiling, which reflected the nice, blue sky outside. The falcon landed with a clatter next to a glass of pumpkin juice, which spilled into a plate filled with baked potatoes.

Young Jae's interest piqued, "House elves, professor? There are House elves in Hogwarts that are present?"
His father and mother refused to hire/enslave a house elf, thinking that he'd become self-centered and lazy if he didn't do his own chores. Now, he won't have to wash his own socks or scrub the toilet every week.

Seeing the sudden interest in elves the professor replied, "Why yes, Hogwarts hires a lot of House Elves to cater and provide for the Castle's needs..."
She waved her wand lazily and the pumpkin juice spill cleaned itself up.
Shinwa whistled for her falcon, who happily flew and perched itself upon her shoulder.
"Well, I'll be seeing you Young-Jae..." she said, and she walked away towads the doors and out.
