Rozlyn strolled happily through the public rose gardens. The gardens where only a few blocks away from the house where she lived, so getting there and back was no trouble at all. She went there because she liked the faintly sweet smell of the flowers hovering around you, all the time. And, of course, because she found it amusing how the flower on her tail was almost identical to some of the roses here.
She picked a rose up off the ground and twirled it between her two paws. It was a deep dark-red sort of color, not at all like the delicate pinky color that was the base for the inside layer of her dress. Rozlyn liked her dress, it reminded her of a ladybird's wings: a protective layer on the outside, and a thinner, more delicate layer on the inside. She nestled the rose between her head and her ear (where some girl-mice would wear a ribbon) and continued along.

In this faithful park, Shamrock was kneeling behind a rose bush trying to pick out thefour-leaf clovers to inspect them. He ended up with a bunch of about four 4-leaf clovers, two 5-leaf clovers and even a 6-leaf one! He saved these up and most likely flattened them to laminate and tape up against his wall.
He decided to not hold them and kill the stems so he took off his hat and put them in it. His hat sat upsidedown on the grassy part that squished the clovers a little.

Rozlyn looked up at some gentle rustling noises coming from a few feet away. It was another mouse. He seemed to be collecting things and storing them... in a hat? The hat was green with a gold ribbon. A single shamrock was held in place by the ribbon. This mouse was wearing a green suit.
"Um... hello?" she called out nervously. She'd never actually met another mouse before, save Noah, and he didn't count because he was her roommate. She took a few steps towards the mouse, then stopped, afraid of seeming rude. Rozlyn had never cared much for manners, but all of a sudden, they seemed important.

"oh, hello." he said as his paws stayed in the patch of clovers. he looked up at the girl. He looked with an emotionless look up to her. He immediately smiled at the sight of the beautiful young lady. "who're you? I'm Shamrock." He said softly as he took his paws out of the clovers and sat looking at the female mouse. it was his first time out also but he had a large family so he didn't feel that lonely.

Rozlyn blushed. "Oh. I'm, um... Roz- Rozlyn. Hi Shamrock~" She sat down on the grass so as not to seem as though she thought herself superior to him by making him stand up to be at eye-level with her. The light-green mouse extended a paw for him to shake, suddenly realizing that they were both wearing green. However, his colors were more green-and-gold, whereas hers were green-and-red. She blinked at his eyes-- they were both gold. Hers were a reddish-pink color, which, after watching a few movies, she realized could be percieved as a little creepy. Oh well; at least they were pinkish instead of pure red.

Shamrock shook Rozlyn's paw. He thought she was pretty just the way she is. like his sisters. Shamrock quickly dug into his hat and pulled out the single 6-leaf clover that he found. "you can press it inside of a book for a few hours and then laminate it with a few peices of tape. it'll last longer" Shamrock said with a smile as he handed it to her in her paw.

Rozlyn took the clover and tucked the stem into the collar of her dress, nodding her thanks as she did so. "Alright, I'll do that."
She suddenly noticed his tail, which was gold with a 4-leaf clover at the end. Her own tail was green, with a rose at then end. They both had little... things at the ends of their tails, how... odd. The 4-leaf clover, on Shamrock's tail, usually symbolized luck. Whereas hers was a red rose, which represented love... romantic love. Luck and love. Lucky love. Lovely luck? Hmm. That was far too strange... if that wasn't some form of foreshadowing, what was?

Shamrock was too simple-minded to notice small things but in this case he did. "you have a rose on the end of your tail!" He said as he took her tail in his paw and his own tail in his other paw. He put them together and said "look! they match~" he placed his clover under her rose that made it look like the rose had some leaves coming out the end of it.

Rozlyn blushed when he took her tail, but they did, indeed, match. "Um... yes, they do." It looked rather odd for a rose to have 4 bright green petals sprouting out from beneath it, though. Such oddness made her think of her 'brother,' Noah - he certainly wasn't predictable. One minute he'd be singing his favorite song loudly, the next he'd be napping like a baby. His song was... odd, and she suspected it was his own composition. It went as such:
I 'ad a gehlfrien' an' she left me, I 'ad a dog an' 'e ran away, I 'ad a gehlfrien' an' she left me, I 'ad a dog an' 'e ran away, An I 'aspect ma gehlfrien' an' ma dog are 'avin' an' affair!
It repeated itself until the singer got tired of singing it. At first it was annoying, but after a while it got sort of catchy, although it would be a little odd if she was singing it.
"Um, do you know a mouse named Noah? Green fur... purple hat..."

" 'nfortuneately no." Shamrock said. "this is my first time out of the house of my human." he said with a slight Lisp. it wasn't very noticible but it was there. He let go of their tails as he swung his behind him softly. his tail blended in with the clovers beneath his feet. "wanna go play something?" Shamrock asked.

"Oh." Now that she was sure that she had no connection to him, it became a little more uncomfortable. If he'd known Noah, at least they'd have had a mutual acquaintance. "Yes, it's my first time out as well." She stood up, brushing flecks of grass of her dress. "Play something? Like what?" She'd never really played anything before... unless you counted cookie-thieving as play, of course.

"wanna play near the rivine? it's not deep and the flow isn't that rough." He said. it was his first time out but he did explore the area. He wanted to play in water on this spectacular day. He wanted to have some fun.

"The... rivine?" She cocked her head. "I've never heard of anything like that. What would we play there?" Rozlyn thought about it. "Do you mean the river? Noah's been there once, he says it's nice..." Well. She didn't know how much she could rely on Noah's word, he was... well, weird. But all the same, he wasn't a liar.

"yea, river. i don't like to use river because it sounds funny" he said. he made up this word, 'rivine' and he liked to use it in place of river. "this way~~" he said before even answering Rozlyn of her 'what will we do there' question. he pushed past bushes and ended up next to the water. the water splashed along like rapids.

"Oh!" She cocked her head, thinking a little. "I guess you're right... 'River' sounds sort of sloppy, 'rivine' sounds so much more graceful." She followed him through the rose garden and through some bushes, to the river. The water made soft sighing noises as it splashed merrily along.
