I suppose one could make a tutorial thread in the fanworks subforum. But... furry? That's odd. The Mews are kemonomimi, to be sure, but not furry (unless you're talking about neko!Ichigo or Alto). ^^;

In one of the libraries "How to Draw Manga" books, it said that any human that has animal add-on's were called furry characters (these books were printed in USA). sweatdrop whee sweatdrop

Ah, right, I see where you're coming from. Though... to most of the furry community, a character with just the ears and tail of a cat wouldn't constitute a true furry character. The term usually applies to anthropomorphic characters, like Sonic the hedgehog or any of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (plus Splinter-sensei). :3
So far as a "tutorial thread" goes, I think that would be a good idea. But, uhm... how would one go about with the "lessons," and who would be the "leader", sort of thing? ^^;

there will be sub-forums within the How to Draw forum with people's usernames on them (if they want to teach). anyone could draw out step by step type of things under their own name. and maybe there will be a contest called, "Who Is The Best 'How-To-Draw' Teacher?"! YAY! heart

I see... well, the reason I suggested a thread within the fanworks subforum is because new subforms (and sub-subforums) cost quite a bit of gold to set up.
Perhaps... we could just set up a thread or group of threads within the fanworks subforums dedicated to this purpose? I don't really have a lot of gold to spare, and I don't know if [m i n t y] or Satouberri would make another subforum.
I like the idea of drawing things step-by-step; I've always been interested in seeing how other people draw, as I've been told my style is sort of weird. XD;;

I think it's best if we made a thread in the fan works section, because it would be in it's relating catagory, seeing has it's to do with art and all.
And Riko, I don't think your style is weird ^^
If you want, I could start the thread off by doing a short tutorail on how to draw heads. Then maybe Riko or anyone else who is interested can do other stuff, like certain parts of the body, or the whole body, hair, eyes, folds, etc.

Whoa, almost hit "edit" on your post by mistake. Still getting used to this whole mod thing. >>;
Well, I'm not talking about the resulting picture exactly. Rather, I'm referring to the way I draw, like the steps I take and all. Ah... I'll show you in the thread, I suppose. ^^
If you could do that, sure! Just to give you a heads-up, I'm no good at teaching, so the best I could do is attempt to slow myself down enough to scan a doodle of mine each time I change something. XD;;

I like that idea. I certainly need it (well kind of) and I'm sure quite a few other people might enjoy this as well. Because of right now, my drawings are... not the best they can be! ^_^;
