I hope it's okay to have this on the main forum eek Um, anyway.. I've been commissions to draw someone and she asked for a pirate theme, so I was thinking about drawing her on a pile of gold,,, the only problem is that I don't know how to draw that ^^; I was wondering, should I find pictures on the Internet and try to photo manipulate them? I still want the gold to look like it could pass off as a drawing.. (I'm not going to say that I drew it, but I don't want it to stick out because it looks different from the rest of the picture) Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.. m(_ _)m

If you want to try a photo manip, there are ways to make it blend in with your art. Still learning how to draw metallic stuff like gold is good practice. A pile of gold wouldn't be too bad - you wouldn't have to draw all the individual coins necessarily, just give an impression of them. What you could do is find a good ref picture and steal the colours from it and/or draw over top of it.
