Now, there's the archives, which every jedi would be familiar with and at least halfway capable in using. Then there's the ancient, Deep Archives. Just as coruscant itself is built upon layers and layers of previous city, the jedi temple is built upon the old temple. The Deep Archives are a part of that old temple. Due to a variety of reasons, only a few jedi even know that the deep archives exist. Fewer know of how to get into them. The Deep archives are where the most ancient of lore is, not because it can't be moved, but because nobody wants to move it from this 'secret' place. If one were to look for a map of the jedi temple, it would not show any entrances to the deep archives. Mainly because the only entrances are where Jedi of the past have cut holes in the wall and placed a bookshelf or tapestry over the entrance. The Deep Archives are where the bookworms of the jedi go to learn from the most introverted of jedi. They are where the eldest of scholars spend their time. And they are where holocrons are still produced...in limited number of course. The Deep Archives are home to the few jedi who know even how to record onto a holocron, as well as the handful that know how to make one.

Garrett was still shaken up by the mission on dantooine. Verin. You idiot. Why didn't you just come with us. There was no need for you to... Garrett couldn't bring himself to say it outloud. Even if it wasn't official, Verin had been the closest thing he'd had to a master. Now what.

((any one interested in trying to train him?))

((if Sagetim doesn't want him Arin can always take him. Not saying Sagetim can have him if he wants because I don't want a padawan, but because Sagetim won't be participating in most of the offensive battles which might get boring unless he has a padawan))

((hehe...actually, I'm going to train as many padawans as the Mods will let me handle. ))

While Garrett stood/sat/curled up in a fetal position, 'Barky' slid over beside him. He placed a reassuring hand on the young mans head, and gently ruffled his hair. "All things will work themselves out if you trust in the will of the living force. Let it guide you through the times of hardship. Even if it leads to death, it would mean that it is your time to die. Do not fear death, for it is a release back into the force. However, you must cheer up, and allow yourself to be in tune with the will of the living force, or you will never know what is in store for your fate."

((fetal position?!! rofl )

Garrett looked at Barky. "Is it ever really that easy?" Garrett couldn't bring himself to believe it. There is no way he would ever completely get over this.

((gotta go, i'm being forced of early, no pun intended. I'll be back on tommarrow at this time. Sorry, i was supposed to have more time))

((well I think for now we should only assign one padawan to knight because there is a much less padawan population then knight/master. I also think we should look into giving knights a padawan since that is a major way they become masters))

((bah...most of the knights aren't even qualified to actually play knights. I don't mean RP skill wise, I mean actual mind set. no Jedi Knight would be easily tempted into falling to the darkside. on the same token, it's nearly impossible for a jedi master or council member to be corrupted...and when they are, it's like jesus coming back from the dead for the sith. I don't mean to insult anyone's religion by making that reference, but it is of the same magnitude.))

((LOL sadly I think you are kind of right...really a majority of people who fell to the dark side where mostly padawan...All well I am not planning to fall to the dark side anytime soon you can count on that...and I don't think Eika is the type to either))

((i seriously doubt that eika would go over. It's simple not in her personality. Though she hasn't really shown her true persona yet))

((LOL don't worry Eika I have faith in you, now I seriously got to log off...))

Echoing steps could be heard well before Ja'en entered into the room. When he made it inside, he looked around, taking note of those already there.
He stood, looking around the area before him with no expression.

((I think I've decided Ja'en's gonna strive to stay in the light, though as a barely trained Padawan, he's got a difficult road ahead of him. With guidance and training he could become a good Jedi.))

((thats good to hear!! since right now we have a few masters you can choose from who do you want? We got Sagetim, me, and Eika, though I don't know if she wants a padawan or not yet))

((Way I've got it figured, Ja'en would be best off as a swordsman-type, using his natural dexterity along with cues from the Force. Of course, he needs force training first...he's had problems in the past with his abilities not working quite right, or working when he isn't really trying to use them. It's kinda a character development thing, so whoever could help him better understand the Force and how it would be used to bolster his abilities with a saber would be best))
PostPosted: Fri Apr 20, 2007 11:29 am

((LOL then my character would probably be best for him. He uses mainly force powers then strengthen his lightsaber abilities, such as battle precognition and force sight. He also uses the vaapad style, a very dangerous style, but extremely powerful, and on top of that he uses a double-bladed saber since he favors lightsaber duels over force power usage))

((Good thing because though eika would take on a padawan, she doesn't have very good internal force skills and can only really effect her surroundings. Kind of like the opposite of Corran.))
