Hokay, this should be relatively simple. This guild is for world- and character-building. Yes, it is a guild for writers. More specifically, it's a guild for original fiction writers to discuss different aspects of their carefully designed creations and help others who are having problems with theirs.

So, what is worldbuilding?

Worldbuilding is the process of creating a setting for your story to take place in. This can cover a whole mess of topics, from conlangs (constructed languages) and cultures, to religions and magick systems. If you've ever even made a map of something in your story, you've done some of what this guild is about.

Some people (myself included) see worldbuilding as more fun than actually writing the story it's for. Everything in, say, my major fantasy story, is constantly in development. The religion, the culture, the magick system, the geography... hell, I'm even working on a language for it! Everything is always under revision and being added to, and that's what makes it fun.


So come in, post some of what you've done or are working on, and get some feedback. Or just hang around and talk about the different aspects of creating entire worlds and character building. Just follow the rules and have fun!
