1. Leonardo da Vinci spent 12 years painting the Mona Lisa's lips.
2. In ancient times, it was believed that certain colours could combat the evil spirits that lingered over nurseries. Because blue was associated with the heavenly spirits, boys were clothed in that colour, boys then being considered the most valuable resource to parents. Although baby girls did not have a colour associated with them, they were mostly clothed in black. It was only in the Middle Ages when pink became associated with baby girls.
3. English artist Andy Brown, created a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain by stitching together 1,000 used tea bags.
4. Mental illness may be profoundly responsible for the creation and enduring popularity of Expressionism. Van Gogh's well-documented mental instability, and Edvard Munch's traumatic childhood and enduring neuroses helped to churn out some of the Expressionists' most important works. Munch accepted that his mental illness was part of his genius, "I would not cast off my illness, for there is much in my art that I owe to it."
5. In all of Dali's paintings you can find a self-portrait. That is, if you look hard you will see at-least a silhouette of Dali himself.
6. When Auguste Rodin exhibited his first important work, The Bronze Period, in 1878 it was so realistic that people thought he had sacrificed a live model inside the cast.
7. Rodin died of frostbite in 1917 when the French government refused him financial aid for a flat, yet they kept his statues warmly housed in museums.
Have any interesting trivia you'd like to add? I would love to hear more!

New game!!NEWHere's a fun game to play. The object of the game is to move the red block around without getting hit by the blue blocks or touching the black walls. If you can go longer than 22 seconds you are phenomenal. Reportedly, the US Air Force uses this for fighter pilots. They are expected to go for at least 2 minutes. Give it a try! Test your pilot skillsThis was fun! Left click to change your colors and refresh page to start over..AbstractAnother fun doodle pageDoodlesScribbler This one is alot of fun!! You just have to try it. A great find by Reverse_Nurse. Make your own icon!!Favicon Icon

My masterpiece using the scribbler! You must print screen to save your work. Show me yours!! You just draw a basic outline and the scribbler does the rest.EDIT - When you have drawn your picture, click the done drawing button and it will bring you to another page with the scribbler settings to chose a color, line transparency, line thickness, and scribbliness. Then click start scribbler and watch it scribble away on your picture. My scribble attempts of random people. mrgreen {Ah~Chew}Bel_DandyKaenaiEmmi_SanNick

Yomi18 that's really good. Try it again and then click the "done drawing" button. It will bring you to another page to chose a color on scribbler settings. After you chose that click on start scribbler and watch it scribble away. mrgreen
